Yeah, hopefully we won't all be killed by snakes.

This is where I'm going.

Looks nice. The only river near my house has platypus in it and I have no desire to swim with them haha, not if I want to stay safe.

Those platypuses are blood thirsty killers.

Well since male platypus have venomous spurs which they will plunge into the skin of any human bothering them then yeah, I'd want to watch out.

Yeah you have to watch out for them. One followed me home once and tried to kill me later that night.

Yes, a male platypus has venom strong enough to kill small animals. It's not fatal to humans but it can cause us excruciating pain. Almost all Australian animals are dangerous in some way, no matter how cute they look.

I had no idea.  I guess I just thought that platypuses were funny looking things.

They are funny looking, almost like a mix of several other animals that were stitched together. Funny looking but dangerous.

Well, Atlanta has been hit with another six inches of snow today, the third largest accumulation on record.  This is the second snow record broken in the past two weeks!

I really wish the government would do something about this global warming!  Or is it a new ice age?  I'm confused!   :hmmmm:

I've only had to shovel once this year - other wise it has just been cold in Buffalo. Where's the Weather Channel to report this fine Buffalo weather?!?

Seattle is supposed to be getting a trace to 4-6 inches, depending on which weatherman you listen to.

I'm not sure such weather is a symptom of global warming. It makes more sense to me that it will be gently inconsistent. My mum for years has been annoyed by people panicking at snowfall and declaring it must be the poor planet dying, or something, because she remembers when they had "proper winters" with drifts you could build caves out of. I finally found these on YouTube that proved her somewhat right (she'd have been a teenager, just). Last year and this have been comparable, but I don't remember any others in the interim. It's just the way the Earth spins:

We're also supposed to get about 6 inches of snow...though I forget if that's supposed to all arrive tomorrow or over a couple of days.  We're not panicking overall here, though.  It's just a normal West Virginia winter.  :P

We're looking at between 12 - 15 inches on Wednesday. I'm just hoping it's fluff and not wet snow.
