Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special
Jeff Dunham invites Walter, Peanut, Bubba J, José Jalapeño and Achmed the Dead Terrorist to join him on his first holiday special. Unfortunately, his suitcase posse doesn't quite share the same Christmas spirit—and the result is a one-of-a-kind live event unlike any yuletide celebration you've ever seen!

Dunham whose first two television specials drew record ratings multimillion DVD sales and over 200 million views on websites worldwide, brings together all-new material and for the first time, original songs and stories guaranteed to become instant classics: from Achmed's "Jingle Bombs" to Bubba J's "Roadkill Christmas" to Peanut's version of "The Night Before Christmas."

Destined to become a treasured holiday favorite!

My Thoughts:
OMG... I can not believe I never watched Jeff Dunham before today. This guy is just freaking hilarious! I really liked all his characters... my favorite is a toss-up between Achmed and Peanut. I watched this along with Britt... and let me tell you... I thought Britt was going to laugh so hard that she would pee herself!  And she wasn't alone... I was laughing so hard I had to pause the show more then once just to be able to catch my breath and calm down so I could watch some more. I am going to definitely have to see what other Jeff Dunham DVDs are out there. Which surprises me... I wasn't expecting to like a ventriloquist as much as I liked this one. If you never checked this guy out before... I highly recommend it!

I am still having a tough time trying to decide if I liked Achmed or Peanut better!

Bones: Season 5 - The Goop in the Girl
Booth and Brennan investigate the case of a man in a Santa Claus costume who tried to rob a bank but was blown up in the process. Meanwhile, Brennan's father Max asks Margaret, a distant relative of Brennan's, to spend Christmas with him and Brennan.

My Thoughts:
As usual... a very good episode of Bones... I really enjoyed it. Bones' distant relative in this episode is played by real life sister Zoe Deschanel. Which I know of at least one person here on the forum is a fan of. I got a kick out of Zoe's character... completely obsessed with Benjamin Franklin... continually quoting him.

Miracle on 34th Street
Miracle on 34th Street is an irresistible fable that has, for many, become synonymous with celebrating Christmas.

The holiday season is in full swing when a cultured gentleman with twinkling eyes, an ample belly, and a snowy beard (Edmund Gwenn) is hired as Macy's department store Santa. He claims his name is Kris Kringle, and soon fills everyone with Christmas spirit - except for his boss, Doris Walker (Maureen O'Hara), who's raising her daughter Susan (Natalie Wood) to not believe in Santa. But when Kris is declared insane and put on trial, everyone's faith is put to the test as old and young alike face the age old question: Do you believe in Santa Claus?

An Academy Award® winner (1947) for Best Supporting Actor (Edmund Gwenn), Best Original Story and Best Screenplay, this timeless tale of faith, love and imagination remains one of the most popular and best-loved holiday films of all time.

My Thoughts:
A few years ago a good friend of mine (Thanks again Roger!) gave me this movie. At the time I never seen this movie before. Now this is my 4th year of watching this movie... and I am enjoying it more with every viewing. This is a true holiday classic! This is one of the very few movies that I don't see a way that it could be any better. If you never seen this classic '40s Christmas movie... You should be sure to watch it as soon as possible... I don't believe you will be sorry. I highly recommend it!

The Brady Bunch: Season 1 - The Voice of Christmas
Carol is all set to sing in church on Christmas when disaster strikes: she loses her voice! At the local shopping mall, a hopeful Cindy approaches Santa Claus and asks him for one gift that may be impossible to deliver - that her mother's voice be returned in time for the event.

My Thoughts:
In the entire 5 years that The Brady Bunch was on the air we only got one Christmas episode. Which really surprises me what with it being such a family oriented show. Of course many years later we also got a Christmas reunion movie. Which I prefer much more over this episode. Of course I never really care to much for this series I mean it is fun to watch now and then for pure nostalgia. And that is the mood I found myself in today.

Well, they only gave us one Christmas episode of The Andy Griffith Show, too.  I'm not sure why...maybe they figured they made one Christmas episode and they could just rerun that episode every year?  I don't know.  I'm not sure how they handled December airings back then.

Major Dad: Season 2 - Gift of the Major
Mac tries to encourage Casey's belief in Santa, but his efforts may fail when she accidentally donates her present to Toys for Tots.

My Thoughts:
I just got done watching this episode on Hulu.com. I am glad I thought of checking out that site for some Christmas shows. I forgot how much I enjoyed this series. It is one I would love to be able to get on DVD. I got a few good laughs from this episode. And I liked how Mac talked to Casey about Santa.

The Big Bang Theory: Season 3 - The Maternal Congruence
Leonard fears the worst for his relationship with Penny when his mother visits, while Sheldon is nothing but thrilled with Beverly's presence.

My Thoughts:
While I still enjoy this series very much... this Christmas episode just wasn't up to the challenge. Especially compared to the excellent season 2 Christmas episode. I mean sure... a good episode... it had a laugh or two in it for me... I have just grown to expect so much more then an average episode from this series.

The mother visited in season 1 and 2?

I don't remember Achim. I this is the first time I remember seeing her... though they made it sound like she was there before. In case you misunderstood me. I preferred last season's Christmas episode over last night's.

Oh, my mistake.

I thought you had watched the season 2 episode on DVD and now I realize you watched season 3 on TV! So, yes, the season 2 episode with Leonard's mother is hilarious, I couldn't judge season 3 yet. And as far as I remember she was not there in season 1.

Leonard's mother had visited indeed once before but I don't recall whether that was last season or earlier this season.
