I know I tend to get worked up over things Kathy and I apologise. It's just so hard for me to see all my friends, as well as millions of other people around the world become obsessed with such utter rubbish. I am a fan of good film and good literature and the sad thing is that most of the fans actually know that the films crap and that the books are poorly written but they don't care, they just go on being obsessed becuase of how the characters look, not the story involved. Basically it makes me fear for the human race that this one woman has seemingly brainwashed thousands of people. People have been quitting their jobs to live in the town that it's based in. They have now even created their own religion! No one should have this much power over people, especially for something just so mediocre. Or that's what I think anyway.

I don't know if they're born that way, raised that way or whatever. It's a phase that begins with puberty and some kids never seem to be able to snap out of it. I think some people are just destined to be idiots. If they weren't moving to Forks WA and starting their own religion, they would just find something else to be idiots about. Then it seems every few years something comes along (pet rocks, mood rings, cults, Twilight, etc.) that gives all these idiots a common ground so they can socialize with other idiots and the media jumps in and it becomes a three ring circus. I don't blame Stephanie Meyer (or whatever her name is). If they weren't obsessed with Twilight it would just be something else.So they don't bother me. They're just behaving as nature designed them. And in the mean time, they provide a few chuckles for normal people. Plus someone has to be at the other end of that particular yardstick (normal behavior).

Ive been a fan of some of these popular things, I loved Pokemon, I love Judd Apatow Comedies ;P all of which are part of those "popular" things :S heck, Id even say I watched High School Musical expecting to hate it, but found it just like any generic Disney story, and kinda enjoyed it.
Not offensive. Mark wasn't talking about people who like Twilight, or anything else for that matter. He was talking about those that are unhealthily obsessed. They are stupid and they need psychological help! Possibly some medicine.
Their creed, say the Cullenists, includes a base set of beliefs that "Edward and the rest of the Twilight characters are real," that "[t]he Twilight series should be worshipped," and that "f you are good in life, you will be bless[ed] with eternity with the Cullens." Other than that, say the Cullenists, there "is not a limit to what you can believe in when it comes to the Cullenism religion . . . we will accept any other Cullenism beliefs you may have." Cullenists are also expected to read some of the books on a daily basis, "like the Bible" and make a pilgrimage to Forks
