I was in the newspaper last week.

Woo looking good Sophie  :D how long have you been practicing archery for? My dad has always really wanted to do it but all the places round here are super expensive.

I've been shooting now for about 2 years. And your Dad is right, it can be a very expensive sport. It's not the clubs so much, they are usually reasonably priced, but it's the gear itself. Although when you are in a good club you can usually find some good deals on the gear.

"They call her 'Blue Arrow'" ;)

 :hysterical:

At least I got to wear the club uniform, that other boy in the photo, Alex, one of the newspapers had him dress up as Robin Hood. Something which the rest of the club will never let him live down.

I hear jealousy raising its ugly head.

And since you are Australian, you probably can't speak with an English accent either. ;)

Wow, I stumbled upon this photo before and thought it was simply amazing. I'm not sure if you have seen it or not but I thought I would share in case.

Scary! What is that, it looks like lightning hitting a volcano or something!?

It's from that massive volcano that errupted causing a lot of trouble with the planes. I think thunderstorms are often had within volcano eruptions so I assume that's what this is. I think it looks surreal, I would love to see something like this in front of me one day, but for now this awesome photo will do.

Gosh that volcano is still causing trouble over here! All the airports were closed for around 10 days, then nothing for about a fortnight, now the past week or so a few airports have been closed again due to residual ash apparantly. Quite worrying as I'm supposed to be leaving for a few weeks in Fl soon!

Ahhh, I got confused becuase she said she would be leaving 'in Fl soon'. I thought it may have been some sort of airline company or something.

My mother comes up from Florida several times a year. I don't know if the volcano had anything to do with it, but for the first time ever, her flight was delayed almost 4 hours today. She was supposed to arrive in Buffalo at 2pm and I got a phone call at 2:30 and she hadn't even left Florida yet.

She finally arrived at 5:30 or so. The plane was overbooked and even offered my mother $200 cash and half of her airfare if she would be bumped until 9pm. If it were me, I would have been all over that but she just wanted to get here.

Ooops I meant to say leaving to go to Florida, not leaving in Florida lol! My friend was actually in Florida for our uni easter break when the volcano erupted..she ended up having to stay an extra 10 days, finding new accomadation and everything. She totally freaked out because we had an exam the day after she got back.
