I've always loved long exposure photography. And for some situations, it's actually the only way to get anything worthwhile (night sky photos)

It's been a long time since I have posted any photos of my "collection". I think the only one I ever posted was when I first joined and I still had very few DVD's. Well I basically still have very few, compared to the rest of you anyway I surely have the smallest collection on the site. It has grown a bit though since I first joined up.

As you can see it's not only DVD's on my bookshelf, but also toys/collectables like my Buzz Lightyear, books, magazines, games, manga, comics etc. Here's a couple of photos of it (and some close up ones of some areas).

Also, just for the hell of it here's another photo of Ripley.

That first one is weird! How the light illuminates the smoke. Great shot.

On the first shot, those cylindrical shaped building remind me of the nuclear power plants at Nine Mile Island. What building is that?

It's a coal fired power station, the cylindrical shaped buildings are cooling towers. I've always wanted to created that effect with the smoke. I had the shutter open for 25 seconds.

Actually, I believe its correct name is Three Mile Island.  Did you move 6 miles further away?

 :hysterical:

You are, of course correct Roger. The Washington Post has a pretty good synopsis about the crisis: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/national/longterm/tmi/whathappened.htm

Yeah it's a Wallace and Gromit clock. When I was in Primary School I used to use it as my alarm clock every morning and when the alarm went off it played the Wallace and Gromit theme music.
