I wouldn't like to still be waiting. I do have season 5 and I've been watching that since last week. I just have a few more episodes to watch.

I watched the first..hmmm...5 or so minutes again last night. Not the entire episode again yet - that will come - but the first few minutes. I did notice when she got home in DC that there were boxes all over like she hasn't unpacked. I missed seeing the picture. I'll look for that.

I don't get Pi either and I don't really see what Alexis sees in him..unless it is mostly his looks. Not that Pi seemed unpleasant exactly. Just. well. I don't know. He almost seemed a little high or something at times. and only eating fruit? umm...ok..that's a new one. I did find it kind of funny how he called Rick Mr. C. It did seem like he was trying to..be nice and helpful or something..like he seemed to be trying to get Rick to talk about what went wrong on his trip to DC. But he's a slob. Did you see that mess in the kitchen? And he was just leaving the fridge stand open. But he didn't bug me like those FBI agents did. You are right, we didn't need those scenes with him at the expense of seeing them tell people about the engagement...and Kate showing off the ring. That is bugging me.

I don't like them, especially that woman. I'm so glad she is only in 3 episodes. Kate didn't seem that happy there to me either...even when Rick wasn't sort of butting in - but in his defense, he did back off at first..it was only because she missed one of the pictures that he did as much as he did. She has been there at least 6 weeks, and is still living out of boxes. It doesn't seem like the work is going exactly like she had expected or hoped. She doesn't really fit in there even though she is capable of doing the work. There is already a touch of conflict between her and the mentor over how they deal with cases. Kate thought something else was going on...and that did work out in the train station..and even back when they were back at the...station or whatever it is for the FBI, but the mentor was ready to stop there while Kate felt there were still loose ends. Yes the mentor listened this time...which leads to them figuring out that that encryption thing was a distraction, but it won't always work out that way. Kate doesn't like those little questions or doubts with a case and will want to keep working on something else that the mentor and even higher up dont' care about. They will be happy to close whatever case, and at some point, they won't listen to Kate about her feeling that something isn't right. I don't think Kate would like that if it happened.

I've read stuff from Marlow about the show too and how he said he wasn't going to rip them apart once they got together. I've also read stuff about how the story of the relationship is the main point..the cases and things are the extras. And that is probably why I was...almost certain that they would end up engaged. But I read some stuff that brought up other nonsense that raised a few doubts..and..well..other shows have burned me before - including Friends. All that stupidity with Ross/Rachel made me quit watching more than once.

I'm ready for her to be home. Ryan and Espositio were sadly underused, though I did like that Rick went to talk to them when he was upset. I do wonder what Kate will think of Pi. We saw a little bit of Martha's reaction..it will be interesting to see Kate's..if we get to see that. We didn't even get to see Rick and Kate talking about anything..even just a little bit, like the tale end of him telling her about Pi like we use to get in other situations. Like in last season when we found the video blog that Alexis was doing - which the crazy people used as a way to track her down, so Rick was completely justified in being concerned about her posting that sort of stuff online. Yes Alexis is smart, but it is still dangerous to post any sort of personal information online like she was doing. She talked about where she was or where she was going at times. Not a good idea for anyone to do in this day and age, let alone if their father is a very famous and wealthy author. Ok..I got a little sidetracked there. lol Sorry about that.

Main point - Still thrilled that they got engaged..don't like the FBI agents..Pi is ...well. Kooky at the very least...possibly up to something. If he lost his passport, why isn't he contacting an embassy or something? Hmm.. Kate needs to go home.

I will definitely look for that picture.

It will be...questionable how Gates will see Kate returning. She made it very clear before how she felt and really pushed Kate to take the job.

I had read something about someone getting hurt online, but they were talking about the first episode. Someone getting shot and a car accident. Which we saw. Kate in the training thing - which right at first I almost freaked..thought no, she has to be dreaming or it is a training thing..she can't be shot again - and then the car accident Rick was in. I don't know if anyone else is supposed to be hurt or not. It probably would be good for Kate to have to deal with him being in danger. He's done that, but she really hasn't. Yes she had to deal with him when he broke his knee last year - and that episode was great with the whole take on Rear Window - but she hasn't had to see him be seriously hurt like he had to do when she was shot. This poison or whatever it is that he's infected with is going to do a little of that maybe. I could see her really having second thoughts about the job after she almost loses him. From the preview, it looks like he gets pretty bad..and let's face it..that is what they do in shows, get someone practically on death's door, and then they get better. So he's more than likely going to get close to dying before they find the antidote. Heck, he's already been given just a day to live. I'll have to watch her a little closer when I rewatch the episode, but she is showing a little more than she has before I think. Even just holding his hand like she did is more than normal - except when Alexis was taken.

Laine not even being mentioned bothered me too. Something else that was wrong. No clue who that woman was. And I thought that Esposito and Laine were back together.

I don't know what is going on with Alexis. Yes she is growing up..guess sort of rebelling a little. Not sure what is up with Pi. I do like Alexis overall and think she is has been one of the better teenager characters on tv. I just don't like how she has acted a few times...like when Rick has been concerned about something. She makes it out like he is over reacting and that's that. Sometimes he has, but he is her father. And he's been right. Especially with that stupid blog. I fully agreed with him on that, even before she was kidnapped. I don't get why Kate, as a cop, didn't see the potential danger there.

Right...Rick hasn't had to be that strict with her for the most part because she's been such a good kid. Like he said, he got very lucky getting a daughter like her instead of a kid that was like him. And yes, many times, she's been way more mature than him. Most of the time I'm ok with Alexis...I just haven't liked it when she has kind of had a fit when Rick has tried to show... concern for something or enforce a rare rule. He is still her father. I do think I read somewhere that she could be dealing with some lingering issues from Paris. Ooo...maybe she can talk to Kate about that since Kate had to deal with being shot and stuff. Hmmm....that could work. I also read somewhere that there was talk about Alexis getting a new boyfriend and it might even be a professor from her college. I don't know that was ever anything official though.
I would like to see a little more between Kate and Alexis..and Kate and Martha. I am sooooo irked that we didn't get to see them tell those 2 at least. Grrrrr. Though maybe they will do some sort of flashback at some point...that could work.

Something does seem kind of...off with Pi. Though maybe he'll end up just being a very...umm...free spirited type of person. He did seem kind of nice when he was trying to talk to Castle..it seemed like he was really hoping Rick would talk to him more. But he does seem to be a huge..umm...slacker. So not exactly what I have thought of as her type before, but who knows. Maybe he was just really sweet to her in Costa Rica or where ever it was she went. And I do feel a little ripped off that we haven't seen Rick talking to Kate about different things and most especially, Pi. It would be interesting to hear what Kate thought about that situation.

Hmm...I thought it was looking like she was showing a bit more emotion...not tons, but at least showing more with her expression, and that she took his hand while there at the FBI...while he co workers were possibly watching. I'll have to pay attention to that more when I watch the full episode again. I do think she needs to show more than she has. Basically have to face his mortality now like he had to do with her when she was shot.

I'm not sure if Ryan and Espositio know about the engagement or not. At first I was thinking that there wasn't any indication either way, but I was thinking last night and thought I remembered some sort of reference from one of them. I can't remember what now though. lol I'll pay closer attention when I rewatch the show. Gates, I highly doubt that she knows..unless she just happened to be around when they told Ryan and espositio so she could still have her plausible denability. Though I still don't exactly get the rule Kate said the cops have against dating.. She was dating that one guy...crap..I can't remember his name now. Josh was the doctor...the robbery cop guy. I think it was in season 2. Anyway, he worked some of those cases with Kate and everyone knew they were dating and it was no big deal.

Ohhh....I did check last night and I saw the picture.

Hehe, the picture was a nice touch IMHO. And a big tell, to where they are in the relationship. And what it means to her. Her character has grown alot in that department, and so has Rick. From being this imature jackass\playboy dude. And now have eyes only for Kate.. Good for them! AM is doing a much better job there, then Hanson! And for the fatherside of Rick, its true that he didnt have to be that strict because she was a great kid. BUT there was\is time where he should have said no. But didnt do so. Learn to say no. And for Kate and Alexis.. I dont know there yet. I hope maby Alexis will confide in Kate (The only person i think Kate is confiding in is Rick) Maby the stuff from the Paris trips comes back for Alexis, and she' confides in Kate. Since Rick is her dad, and too close to the whole thing. That would be a nice moment. And for Martha and Kate. Its time for her to move out! If she cant afford it, get some help from Rick! He got enough money. And we know from the past, he would do it. Because when they (R&K) moves in to the loft together she cant be there. And we all know thats where they will end up. And Alexis is going back to College. And after what i've read, Pi will only be there for a few episodes. Interesting to see how they will write him out. He's a spy i'm telling ya!

And she showed a bit more emotions. True, and thats nice. And did you see how easy she said "I love you" ? But we havent seen her really cry yet. Only one time. But not as Rick knows, or "for Rick" Her' man is almost dead and she doesnt show anything? Well, i cant wait for some answers in episode 2. I think that episode will be the start of the end for the DC arc. I think alot have to happen. Maby its Rick almost dead, that makes her change her mind of DC. And for Espo and Ryan, i hope they dont know yet. But they might. Maby we will get some flashback scenes (When Rick is ill) Lot of things i want to discuss..
And i hope we have a discusion after episode 2 aswell. And we enjoy that episode as much as the first one! This season CAN be epic if they continue!

The picture is a nice touch. And as just about the only thing she's take out of a box except for clothes and a few plates..coffee maker..it helps to show how important he and the relationship is to her. She is more secure with him and their relationship. She did get that he is serious about wanting to be with her. He remembered when she made that off hand remark about preferring a more intimate, private proposal back before Ryan proposed to Jenny. And Rick had said at one point in that episode about how he did a big, splashy proposal for one of the exs...hot air balloon I believe. And remember...when Kate said she thought he was breaking up with her because he looked so serious, he said it was the most serious thing he'd done. That says something too about the other marriages. I think he proposed to Meredith because she got pregnant and he was doing the right thing...and then she went and cheated on him. With his...publisher I think she is... I remember him briefly talking about how they ended up married, but I can't remember much..but it wasn't like it is with Kate for him.

Rick and Kate both have changed in good ways. He does still have his playful side - he wouldn't be Rick without it - but he is also more mature at the same time..more serious at times. I agree that Marlowe is handling things so much better than Hanson. I agree...there have been times when Rick should have put his foot down with Alexis on a few things. Alexis may still have issues from being kidnapped and what happened in Paris. It only makes sense that she would. She did go to Kate to talk to her about maybe studying in England - or was it France? - back in ..hmm..either late in the first season or in the second season. So I think it would be believable for Alexis to go to Kate if that did bother her...and she didn't want to tell Rick because she didn't want to freak him out again. I would just like to see something with Alexis and Kate..even if it is that they went shopping together or something. I was thinking I had read that the guy who plays Pi was only going to be in a few episodes, but I couldn't remember for sure. It seems like something is going on there. Contact your freaking embassy if you lost your passport. There are things that can be done in that situation. And wait a minute....when did he lose it? It would have had to have been after he got to New York, otherwise, how did he get in the country? Hmm...something seems odd about that.

Yes I did notice how easy she said that..and how comfortable she seemed to be when she said it. So that is progress there. I'm thinking she'll show more at some point in the next episode. Maybe she didn't want to break down in front of him to keep him from freaking out about the situation more. From what I remember, it sounded like he had been there a while before she went in to talk to him..he said finally or something like that. Maybe she had gone to the bathroom and broke down a bit over it or something. She wouldn't want to do that in front of the other agents. Or maybe we'll see her do something like that in the next episode, crying in the bathroom or something while trying to stay calm in front of Rick. The more I think about it, the more I think that what happens in the next episode with Rick almost dying is going to play a part in her going back to New York. After almost losing him, she'll reevaluate her priorities and decide that no job is worth having to be away from him for weeks at a time. Something like that. She did say she missed working with him on cases too. Add on top the fact that Kate really doesn't seem happy there or with the job....

I read Deadly Heat today..the newest Nikki Heat book..the ones that Rick writes on the show. I have them all. Anyway, in the book, Homeland Security gets involved in Nikki's case. They were in the last book too. There was a job offer that she turned down. It came up again in this book, and she kept turning it down. It was basically said in the book that Nikki didn't want to deal with all the red tape and bureaucratic idiots that would be involved in working for the Feds. I think that can apply to Kate too. Just another little thing pointing to Kate not belonging in DC.

Oh...I did read in one little interview - with Stana Katic - that Bracken will be back this season at some point. She didn't know how yet, but she did know he would be back. So...he may not come up while she is in DC which does seem kind of odd. Considering how he has known basically everything she has done for years, it seems like he should know about this job. Unless he does know and is just bidding his time to ...well...do something.
