What's the longest movie in your collection.

A completely useless topic but I'm curious. Mine is the original uncut version of Das Boot which runs for 4:53 but I think it was a short TV Series originally in Germany so I would have to go with.

5h16 (316 minutes) and I think it's not even the complete theatrical released version.

I haven't count my miniserie like Roots, Holocaust or The Stand who are longer

9 hours 10 minutes - but it is a documentary film.

I've never really thought of this but I've never really sought out any particularly long films.  I do have a few that hit the 3-hour mark but not many.  Gone With The Wind is listed at 238 minutes, I think...that is 8 minutes shy of being 4 hours long.

1) LOTR: Return of the King
263 min = 4:23 (NTSC)

2) LOTR: Return of the King
252 min = 4:12 (PAL)

3) LOTR: The Two Towers
235 min = 3:55 (NTSC)

And the longest after any LOTR movie:

7) Apocalypse Now
194 min = 3:14 (PAL)

I'm not sure how you find out the running time statistics. And, I'm not going to go through almost 5,000 DVDs to find out! :laugh: But, I do own the LOTR trilogy so those probably among the longest.

I simply ordered the DVD Profiler list by runtime descending and ignored my series profiles.

210 min (3:30) with PAL-Speedup

206 min (3:26) with PAL-Speedup

200 min (3:20)
but
281 min (4:41), Mini-Series cut together to one movie.
