While I don't think it is a good idea for several reasons, it seems like from what I've read and heard in the last month or 2 that she is going to take the job. I don't see that working long term for the show. The relationship could deal with it..but if she is in DC, she can't work with Ryan, Espositio, and Lanie anymore, and that will suck. So...hopefully it is only a short term thing. Something is probably going to happen with Bracken..I don't know how it couldn't wither her being in the same city as him. I wouldn't mind some...definite closure there. If he is the main person, then get him sent to jail. Or if there is someone else higher up involved, get them..that would be fine. I just don't think she should go to DC. I didn't like how that FBI guy - or whoever he was - that first mentioned the job to her talked about how she would be able to work on important things if she took the job.. To me, he was belittling her work with the police, saying that finding murderers isn't important and I didn't like that. I know that is really just a minor thing, but it bugs me. And she's always thought it was important to get closure for the families since she and her dad never had that.
Ok...I'm done now. I think.

Ok, first thing first. Dont stop!
Only a few days left! And for the whole will she \ wont she question..
(click to show/hide)
Let me just clarify one thing first. I dont think Kate will stay at DC\FBI or whatever for a whole season. Not even 10 episodes. But maby for 3-5 episode arc. I'm ofcourse just guessing. My guess is as good as any. I think she might start out in DC, but will be back in NY (ofc) Castle isnt Castle without Espo, Ryan, Lanie etc..
We all know that. But it will be interesting how AM does it. And for Brecken.. What to think? I've heard that he will be back. But i think they will kill him of, in someway. Sooner then later. Alot of interesting questions coming up. Both with Espo\Lanie, Ryan being a daddy. And will Kate say yes? If she does, when will it happen?
Cant wait!

I would hope that they wouldn't try to keep her in DC long term. A few episodes I can probably deal with..but I still think it will mess with the show. That is going to be a whole different environment...and really, just because she's been a good homicide detective doesn't mean she'll automatically be good at the new job. Getting closure for the families of victims has been important to her all along. How will she deal with not being able to do that anymore?
I hadn't heard for sure that Bracken would be back, but I figured he would be. Things haven't been completely settled with him. He has to be exposes...arrested...or if there is someone else with more power involved, that person needs to be revealed.
There is supposed to be an answer to the proposal in the first episode. I did see some....pictures that make me think I know what she'll say. We will see.
4 days...4 4 4...4 days.
Ok, for some reason, I have have the Silver Shamrock song from Halloween 3 running through my mind.

I just watched the final episode of the fifth season. For some reason I missed it back then.
The whole catch of the plot is that it doesn't really make sense from an in-universe point of view. Let me explain
(click to show/hide)
Castle is rich. And I mean really richt. Just look at his house in the Hamptons.
His daughter is going to college.
He is a writer. That's not location-bound.
So what's really keeping him in New York? Surely he can afford to keep the apartment for his mom and buy a new home in Washington?
The whole "drama" hinges on the fact that it is a TV show and not real life. If Caskett leaves for Washington, the show is over. But that isn't an argument the characters can make.
Why would both Beckett and Castle come to the same conclusion that she needs to leave Castle behind if she goes to DC?

Well, i've just watched the season 5 again.. And let me just start of by saying that what a character growth by both Rick and Kate IMHO. And i think the season 6, will just build on that.
(click to show/hide)
And now over to the more spoilery stuff.. I just saw a bit TOO spoilery sneak peek. You kinda get a few answers on what will happen in the episode. (Dont watch it, if you dont want to know too much) And for the DC. Sure, Rick is rich enough to both have houses in NY, DC, (hell, the rest of the world) But Caskett stuck in DC for a whole season = No Show. So IF they go to DC (or her) it will MAXIMUM be for 3-5 episodes i think. And with the ratings Castle had in season 5, and with the fans growing. I think Castle will be on for a few more years! And Castle (the show) is a dramady. And because of that, i think Kate will answer yes to his proposal. But she will be unsure about the whole thing. Because of his divorces etc. And i think that will be perfect oportunity to start comunicating! (if thats a word)
And AM & Co (the creators of the show) got a big task ahead. To continue the great story from season 1-5. I for one, cant wait to see what they have in store for us!
I both hope and think they will be on for a few more years. And so far, they are doing some great storytelling IMHO.

First....3 more days...3 3 3! Woohoo. 3
Ok. I think I got that out of my system. Maybe.
I do think there was a lot of growth and development for the characters.
(click to show/hide)
I read something just earlier tonight about how if - and the if was emphasized - Kate took the DC job, it wouldn't be long term. Probably 5 episodes max. I've read a few other things that said basically the same thing..just a few episodes if it happens. Which I can deal with, though depending on exactly what happens, I might get ...irked at times. I agree that the show is a dramedy. I like the kind of goofy cases they get sometimes, especially when Rick gets convinced he's cursed or haunted or something like that. He's just so fun when he buys into a zombie killer...or bigfoot...or aliens. I do think they have done better in the last season communicating more, but it does need to get better. Kate's first reaction is still to keep stuff to herself. So they have that to work on a bit - not that I think they need to devote entire episodes to it or anything like that..just show little things here and there, sort of how they did with the relationship last season. I see an engagement, especially once they start planning the wedding, offering up all sorts of possibilities for humor. Rick could want to go completely overboard and keep suggesting crazy things...like..hmmm.... flying in some rare flowers for the reception and super expensive champagne from France or something while Kate panics a bit...or maybe Kate would end up going overboard..maybe it starts with like one bridal magazine..then Martha and Alexis get involved. and Ryan and Epsosito will probably tease Rick and argue over who the best man will be. See I have all sorts of ideas.
I think it could be interesting if Dana Delany's character from the two part episode in season 2 came back. I liked her character.
Ok...I think I'm done..for now.

Well, i agree here too aswell. (with a great deal) 2 days left eh?
(click to show/hide)
But here's what i think will happen in the first ep. They start of where they left us. (She says yes) but also wants to try DC. Timejump 2-3 months. Boom, she's with FBI. Something happens in NY after 3-5 episodes, and she decides to move back. (because we all know she will be back) No Castle & co = No Show. And after the episode where we found out Gates knew all along. I think they will keep their engagement a secret as long as possible. And i think (or hope) they will start communicating a bit. And i hope they bring up his divorces. (Since Kate doesnt know why he got divorced.) We know he got cheated on etc. She doesnt know that! And i think its important for her and her character to know all that before they get married. And i hope that we get to see some the good ol' Castle episodes. Those real goofy\funny mixed with some serious stuff in the mix. Those for me (and the private moments between R&K) is what Castle (the show) is for me.
Well, next week alot of great tv-shows is starting back on! Cant wait!

I'm thinking she will say yes too. I've seen pics from the filming of the first episode that seems to indicate that. I think she is going to take the job too, mainly because I've read about new characters, including one who is supposed to be her new mentor. Why would she have a new mentor if she didn't take the job? They may try to keep the engagement quiet for a bit, like they did with the relationship to begin with..but it would be difficult for him to keep it from Martha and Alexis. And even Ryan, Esposito, and Laine probably will know somewhat early. They might keep it from Gates for a while. They should have a discussion about his divorces..though I was thinking they had briefly talked about at least the second one. Hmmm..... not sure now. But...who did it come out about Meredith cheating? I can't remember now how we - the audience - found out. Who was he talking to about it? Hmm..Maybe Martha. rats..I can't remember now.
I do think that Meredith insisted on taking care of Alexis because she wanted to try to cause some trouble. Rich already mentioned that he still paid for a lot of stuff for her - that may have been back when she first showed up in the first or second season. Meredith may have been worried that her gravy train was in danger of running dry if he got serious with Kate..and maybe Meredith picked up something before, or from what Alexis said. Rick definitely needs to explain a little more to Kate about Meredith, including her cheating. Kate needs to know that so that Meredith can't go and put little doubts in her head again, like she seemed to do when she was leaving and said something about why the marriage ended. Meredith basically blamed it on him, saying he...kept stuff from her or at a distance or something like that..I can't remember exactly now.
I did read something yesterday I think it was that mentioned a few things about the sixth episode. It is going to be one of the more fun type ones evidently. We need those sort of ...silly things too. That has been part of the show since the beginning, so they have to continue it.

First of, 1 day left!! The time fly's by! Monday night we will get alot of answers we're asking!
(click to show/hide)
And for who telling -us- the audience that Meredith cheated. (I might remember wrong) but i think it was Rick himself, in a argument or something with Meredith back in one of the earliest seasons. (when he still was this playboy dude) when she was back for some twinkiefried sex and money.. I might be wrong, but i think that was it.
And for her mentor (Lisa Edelsten!!) I'm with you, why have a mentor (she's signed on btw for 3 episodes) if she's not in DC! (ah, 1 day and counting!) Amd we are agreeing on the egagement. So wont go futher in to that. But i think the last episode with Meredith and the final scene between her and Kate was for a reason. I think that will come up during the engagement talks etc. We all know she's (Kate) always had some doubts and conserns about his failed marriages. BUT after what i've been reading tho (interviews etc) We will get a clear yes/no answer to his proposal. Not a -yes, maby but later- or not a -no, i think it might be too soon, ask again later-
It will be a yes or no. And thats great! If thats the case. So many questions! But hey, 1 day left, and not only that. Next week, the other shows come back on too!

Ok. First of all.
I am happy.
Massive spoilers ahead....beware...turn back..whatever..if you don't want to know.
(click to show/hide)
She said yes....woohoo. I was right that she got worried that he was dumping her. At first when I watched the episode with the proposal, and saw the look on her face, I thought she wasn't happy about that. Then I read on a fan site or something where someone said, watch her face during that whole scene..when she first gets there, through the proposal. She starts off hopeful, and then it changes when he is talking because how he was going at first, it could have been a break up. I liked how that was done in the new episode. and I'm so glad that Rick said specifically that he wasn't proposing to keep her in New York or out of desperation..I saw some people say that back in May. I never thought that was why he did it. But I'm glad that was put in there. The ring is gorgeous, but not too ....flashy..just right for Kate.
I didn't like that right after that, they immediately jumped 2 months forward, though I'm not surprised really. I just would have liked to see them go tell Martha, Alexis..her dad...Ryan and Esposito, Laine.. So..that is a tad...disappointing. Though, did they tell everyone? Anyone?
Wait...after Castle was back home and talking with Pi - what the heck happened to Max? - Pi said something about it not going well with his finance, so Martha and Alexis have to know at least. Hmmm.... I don't know if Ryan and Esposito know though. I didn't like how they regulated to..well...nothing. Though it was cute to see Ryan wrapping the doll. I don't like Kate with the FBI...it doesn't feel right. Not that she's not capable or anything like that..but it just isn't right. I don't remember if she ever said earlier in the show about wanting to join the FBI or not..or even move up to Captain within the force. Anyway... it doesn't seem right. I do not like the agents she is working with..and that one guy acting like Castle was a suspect and leaving him in that room for who knows how long when they had the video that he was abducted. Grrrrr. Yes he did something he shouldn't have earlier in the episode, but at that point, he was minding his own business and was taken. And that car accident. I was thinking all kinds of stuff during the commercial. And then the partner - I don't even remember their names..like I said, I don't like them - just arresting Rick without asking him what happened. Grrrrrr again. Also, when the partner showed up to pick up Kate early in the episode, how she reacted to Rick being there...it seems like even without knowing him she doesn't like him and doesn't think Kate should be with him. I won't be surprised if she ends up saying something to Kate along the lines of Rick holding her back...she won't be successful with the bureau if she stays with him..something like that.
And now Rick is infected with who knows what....not good. Not that they are going to kill him off. But still. I'd be happy if Kate decides at the end of the next episode to go home.
So..I have a few issues - mostly tied to the DC stuff - and how the heck can they not of thought about Bracken with this? - but I am happy. Very happy. Now...they just have to keep things moving along and don't screw it up by deciding to breaking them up for some stupid reason for a while or something. I can be fine with a long engagement. But no more threats of breaking up.
Ok..I'm done now.
Wait...
Ok..now I'm done.

Maybe the second episode is some sort of flashback episode for Castle where we see the missing parts while he's worrying to die and Beckett is running around trying to save him.

So, a few things for your spoilers there.. After watching the episodes a few times!
Its real spoilery for those who dont wanna be spoiled!!
(click to show/hide)
First of, i think a few of the characters is made to be disliked by us fans. (Like PI) whats with his attitude? I think there something 'iffy' about him. I dont think he's who he says he is. Why did they (AM & co) decide to use screentime on him and Rick, instead of Rick and Kate tell people about the engagement? AM always got a reason for what he does. And for Kate's mentor in the FBI, i dont know if she doesnt want Kate to be with Rick. But not bring him to work. Its quite obvious for me (i might be dead wrong ofc) that Rick and 'The Mentor' will dislike each other for different reasons. But she's only signed on for 3 episodes. Thats only two more episodes. And for me it looks like Kate isnt enjoying her stay allready in the capital. Something is going to happen, that brings her back to the 12th. I'm just wondering why. But AM is doing this for a reason. Just looking forward to find out what\why. And for Rick and Kate breaking up. (even for a short while) wont happen. AM (the creator of the show) have said many times in interviews that when they finally got them together they wont break them up. They will not go down the 'Ross\Rachel' route. (And remember) the show is a love story mixed with everything else (his words) And he belives that real couples got bumps in the roads. But he's sure they will come out stronger. (and i belive that) And back to DC again. Kate looks a little out of place. Not at home kinda feel. And look closly at the scene where Rick is at her apartment, and the morning after when she's at the table with her papers. In the backround there, (the only thing unpacked is a picture of him and her!) Nice. And i still think this whole DC plot got something to do with Bracken.. And with the way it ended.. WOW! Cant wait for next week! Great start. And cant wait to see how and why she ends up back home.
