Anybody tried it? I just updated and it feels much faster than before!  :thumbup:

Gmail and Google Reader are both pretty snappy now. Not much waiting, if at all.

Of course, a few extensions are incompatible, but it'll give me a chance to reduce my dependence on them hehe ;)

It's a good update so far!

Now if they'd just add per-tab process isolation in the mix, I'd be very happy!

I switched to Safari about half a year ago, mainly so that it would be easier to have the bookmarks synched between the iPhone and the PC, and am enjoying it so far. Except for NoScript and Weave I got used to live without the plugins rather quickly. Unfortunately Safari 4 introduced to annoying problems, one involving this forum and the other one related to YouTube (the latter could potentially be related to one of the plugins I use).

I still have Firefox installed and will upgrade tonight. Although currently I only use it for this forum, really.

I don't know if I will install it or not.  I read a comparison recently on memory usage of different browsers and FF has become the most hungry one over the years.  It's not longer the fastest one and it's still not passing the Acid test.

I'll try to find the article again and put a link but it's only gonna be good for Seb and Jimmy since it's in french.

I don't how he tested, but with 5 tabs opened (Bing.com, Google.com, Invelos.com, DVDCollectorsOnline.com and YouTube.com) my Firefox uses just under 60MB of RAM. But then, I've never cared about how much RAM a computer software uses. It's not like I have a shortage of available memory.

As for the Acid test... who cares? It renders the pages I visit correctly. That's all I need.  ;D

And let's not discount all the extensions I couldn't like without.
