"one is a rom-com made from a play and stars the original cast"
- if you added two words onto the title, you'd get the title of a book by H. G. Wells

"The Shape of Things". The H.G. Wells novel would be "The Shape of Things to Come".

Clue:
"one is a rom-com made from a play and stars the original cast"
- if you added two words onto the title, you'd get the title of a book by H. G. Wells

Answer:
The Shape of Things
Writer/director Neil LaBute ('Possession, Your Friends & Neighbors') has created another boldly original movie that is as fascinating as it is unsettling. When nerdy Adam (Paul Rudd), meets Evelyn, (Rachel Weisz) a sexy and confrontational art student, his predictable life seems to change overnight. But when Adam's brash best friend Phil (Fred Weller) and his fiancée Jenny (Gretchen Mol) meet Evelyn, the sparks begin to fly. Phil doesn't like the new Adam, while Jenny seems a little too interested in Adam's new look. Soon everyone is caught in a circle of passion, temptation and betrayal that is oddly funny and totally unexpected.

I now know everything coming in this package.... in a large part thanks to a few friends here and at Invelos that helped with the clues!

I am also getting....

Trading Spaces: They Hated It!
Watch the calamity unfold as designers clash with carpenters, teams pursue their own agendas and homeowners deal with disappointment. Plus, learn how-to (and how-not-to) do some designing of your own.

In the first episode, romance and warmth are on the minds of two Maryland couples. But will designer Doug Wilson's "Strip Stripe” bedroom and designer Genevieve Gorder's romantic Asian theme put them in the mood for love, or leave them feeling cold? Then in Seattle, nothing seems to be going right for designers Laurie Smith and Vern Yip. Laurie's team is convinced she's chosen the wrong colors, Vern catches carpenter Ty Pennington sleeping on the job, and homeowners see red when their bedroom doesn't turn out the way they had hoped.
One Man's Hero
"Beautifully photographed" ('Boxoffice'), this "intriguing film" ('The Hollywood Reporter') tells the powerful true tale of the Saint Patrick Battalion, a group of soldiers enlisted from Ireland to fight a brutal war between the U.S. and Mexico. Solid performances from Tom Berenger ('Platoon'), Joaquim De Almeida ('Clear and Present Danger') and Patrick Bergin ('Sleeping with the Enemy'), drive home this film's universal story about standing up for one's beliefs in the face of adversity.

When a small group of Irish soldiers - fighting for the U.S. during the Mexican-American War - are treated harshly for their religious convictions, fellow compatriot and career soldier Sergeant John Riley (Berenger) takes up their cause and leads them in a desperate escape across the border into the enemy territory of Mexico. Now, they must convince a Mexican rebel leader (De Almeida) to let them fight against the U.S. so they can protect their beliefs... and save their own lives from the punishment for treason!
Love Lies Bleeding
Money changes everything, at least that's what Duke and Amber would like to believe - especially after Duke, a hapless Iraq War vet (Brian Geraghty - I Know Who Killed Me), stumbles onto a drug deal turned deadly and finds a duffel bag stuffed with dirty money.  After stopping for a quickie wedding, Duke abd Amber (Jenna Dewan - Take The Lead) hit the road to start the life they've always dreamed about.  The dream quickly turns into a nightmare when Polen (Christian Slater - Bobby), a corrupt DEA agent, comes to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his.  The chase begins with non-stop, hair-raising action as Duke and Amber are forced to outwit the increacingly crazed Pollen - and fight for their very lives.

That means... in all... this package contains:
1. Bloodthirsty Butchers/The Rats are  Coming! The Werewolves are Here!
2. Benji: The Ultimate 4-Movie Collection
3. 50 Sinister Crime Classics
4. Sci-Fi Serials
5. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
6. Pan's Labyrinth
7. Bite the Bullet
8. Margot at the Wedding
9. Leon
10. Abraxas
11. Megafault
12. Sunshine
13. Death Note I
14. Death Note II
15. Roy Rogers: Under California Stars & My Pal Trigger
16. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
17. Hottest State
18. Dragon Wars
19. One Man's Hero
20. Bring Me the Head of Mavis Davis
21. Trailer Park of Terror
22. The Shape of Things
23. Trading Spaces: They Hated It!
24. Love Lies Bleeding
25. All-Star Superman

It shipped out yesterday... they told my friend should be here on Thursday. Though I expect it a little sooner then that. Everything they sent me before got here in only 2 days. But they could have went with a slower shipping this time.

That has made me wonder too.  How the heck can you go bankrupt with a casino?  And he wants control of the country.  *Shudder*

Smaller casinos (and even some larger ones) are being bought out more regularly in the last 10 years for just that reason: they aren't making nearly what they used to.

Yes, you'd think your general casino would be making a killing, but the more casinos, the wider the money spent is being spread. The smaller ones in some places like Las Vegas have issues because it's primarily locals that go to the casinos that are not on The Strip, and locals aren't spending as much. There are also some huge casinos who make as much as 5%-15% of their yearly profit just from super-high rollers who see nothing wrong with losing $1,000,000 on a single throw of the dice. If they stop coming, that's a huge bite out of the apple. Two different casinos have been in planning/production on the Gulf Coast (which used to be the second largest gambling area in the world before Hurricane Katrina) but have halted due to loss of funding.

And, of course, there are other factors. One may make $1,000,000 a month (just an example) but may also have a $300,000 light bill... then add general electricity for machines, cost of wages, etc. Sure that can still leave a huge chunk for profit (in the eyes of something not in the business), but the point is that it's not all profit nor a guarantee that just because you open a casino (or keep one open) that it will stay in business.

Sorry but even the small one like the one we have here in La Malbaie is a money printing machine for the Provincial governement (I don't talk about the one at Montreal who is an huge one). Owning a casino and loosing money with it make the owner a loosy bussinessman (whatever it is in Vegas, Monaco, Montreal, an Indian reservation or Atlantic City), the money cost to make it works isn't relevent. A good bussinessman even a not so good one know that you must make more money than what you spend...

A few more horror movies coming in the next package...

The Ghost Of Spoon River
Based on the international best seller, "The Spoon River Anthology" by Edgar Lee Masters, The Ghost Of Spoon River is an intriguing tale of murder, paranoia and fear set against the backdrop of seemingly quiet-dead quiet Spoon River.  Farmer Jesse Henson (Brian McNamara) is drawn into a harrowing trap after he becomes the FBI's prime suspect in the heinous murder of a local game warden.  Enter his sister-in-law Emma (Lauren Sinclair), a resourceful big city attorney, who returns to defend him despite a flood of painful memories and brutal interrogation.  But when the murders increase, Emma is unwillingly lead down a twisting path of dark secrets that ultimately lead to the explosive truth.  Just how far must a woman go to seek justice?  The answer will keep you on the edge of your seat until its explosive finale.
From the Grave
When Emma catches her husband, Martin, with another woman, she files for divorce. As she begins her new life, Martin stalks her, his anger turning to madness when she looks to their friend John for comfort.

After a brutal fight with John, Martin is killed in a car crash as he races away from the scene.

But now Emma’s true nightmare begins as the ghost of her dead husband haunts her from the grave.
Frightmare
Hide And Shriek…

A group of Sugar hill high school seniors put on a haunted house to raise money for their senior trip. But when a young girl is savagely murdered and two more teenagers are brutally killed, the hunt is on for a deadly serial killer and the haunted house is shut down.

The only lead police have is that this may be the work of the gruesome "Conscience Killer." Now, the lives of all the students are in grave danger, and no one ever knows where the killer may be lurking.

Yes, it sure does.  I guess you can pretend this is a Billy the Kid TV series since each "episode" is about an hour long.  I note you list one as starring Bob Steele.  Are you sure Buster Crabbe isn't in that one?  He's in every other one of the Billy the Kid movies!  Never mind, I looked it up and Crabbe isn't in it.  Hmmm...  :-\

Yeah... I noticed that too... He seems to be in all but 3...

- Billy the Kid in Texas
- Billy the Kid's Gun Justice
- Billy the Kid's Range War

all 3 of which stars Bob Steele.
