Woke this morning to a message from my friend... she added the following to my box...

High Crimes
Judd stars as Claire Kubik, a smart and sexy attorney whose perfect world comes crashing down when the FBI charges her husband Tom (Jim Caviezel) with the murder of innocent civilians during a covert Army operation fifteen years earlier.  Aided by a shrewd ex-military lawyer (Freeman), Claire fights to clear Tom's name, but gets too close to exposing a government cover-up in the process.  Now she must risk her career - and even her life - to find the truth.
Love Actually
"Get Ready For Fun!" (Leah Rozen, People) with the "feel good movie of the year!"  (Clay Smith, Access Hollywood) LOVE ACTUALLY is the ultimate romantic comedy from the makers of Bridget Jones's Diary and Notting Hill.  Funny, irresistible and heartwarming, an all-star cast (Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, and Emma Thompson, to name a few!) will take you on a breathtaking tour of love's delightful twists and turns.  Fall under the spell of LOVE ACTUALLY and share the laughs and charm again and again.
Hustle & Flow
Producer John Singleton and award-winning director Craig Brewer bring to life the unforgettable tale of DJay (Terrence Howard), a pimp whose gritty hustle selling sexy Nola (Taryn Manning) and supporting pregnant Shug (Taraji Henson) leaves him wondering if this is it for him. Only when he trades contraband for a keyboard and bumps into his old schoolfriend Key (Anthony Anderson) does he see a way out by laying down some tracks and fulfilling his dream of becoming a respected rapper. When he learns Skinny Black (Ludacris), a local rapper turned mogul, is rolling through town for he 4th of July, DJay plans for the hustle of his life to get his voice heard. Winner of the Audience Award at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival, Hustle & Flow is an intense and brilliant portrayal of one man's struggle for redemption and inspiration on life's mean streets.

I think it's good. Also as there multiple stories are told in parallel, he hasn't that much screen time anyway.

Just found out about this one by playing a game of Hangman...

28 Weeks Later
The terror and devastation unleashed in 28 Days Later picks up six months after the Rage virus has decimated London in this heart-stopping horror sequel that "surpasses the original" (Dallas Morning News).

With order restored and the war against the infection won, the U.S. Army steps in to help repatriate Mainland Britain. But one of the returning refugees carries a terrible secret that threatens to reignite the deadly explosion of bloodlust, carnage and chaos.

With riveting DVD extras and intense footage not seen in theaters, 28 Weeks Later ratchets up the thrills – "Hold on for a hell of a ride." (Rolling Stone)

I found the original a bit weak. somehow I preferred the sequel, which is more dynamic, straightforward and basically nasty.

I quite enjoyed the second one myself and am quite certain that Pete will too. While it might be a money grabbing sequel and has several highly intense scenes in it and a few good themes too.

I was just told about another group of titles being added to that HUGE box being sent to me...

Big

All headstrong 16-year-old Katy McLaughlin (Lohman) longs for is to work on her family's mountainside horse ranch - yet her father (McGraw) insists she finish boarding school. So when Katy finds a mustang in the hills, she sets out to tame the horse and prove she can one day take over the struggling ranch. But when tragedy strikes, it will take all the love and strength the family can muster to restore hope, in this sweeping, heartwarming epic the whole family will love.
Bring It On
The Toro cheerleading squad has spirit, spunk, sass and a killer routine that's sure to land them the national championship trophy for the sixth year in a row. But for newly-elected team captain, Torrance (Kirsten Dunst), the Toros' road to cheer glory stumbles when she discovers their perfectly choreographed routines were stolen from a hot hip-hop squad across town. Now the squad must scramble to find a new routine to compete in this year's competition.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
From acclaimed writer Charlie Kaufman and visionary director Michel Gondry comes Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.  An all-star ensemble cast shines in this comical and poignant look at breakups, breakdowns and breakthroughs.

Joel (Jim Carrey) is stunned to discover that his girlfriend, Clementine (Kate Winslet), has had their tumultous relationship erased from her mind. Out of desperation, he contacts the inventor of the process, Dr. Howard Mierzwiak (Tom Wilkinson), to get the same treatment. But as his memories of Clementine begin to fade, Joel suddenly realizes how much he still loves her.

Kirsten Dunst, Mark Ruffalo and Elijah Wood co-star in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – a memorable film that The Wall Street Journal calls "a romantic comedy unlike any other!"
Brick
Brendan Frye is a loner, someone who knows all the angles but has chosen to stay on the outside. When the girl he loves turns up dead, he is determined to find the "who" and "why" and plunges into the dark and dangerous social strata of rich girl Laura, intimidating Tug, drug-addled Dode, seductive Kara, and the ominous Pin. But who can he really trust? These are the ingredients of Brick, a gritty and provocative thriller that critics describe as "a clever, twist-filled whodunit!" (Claudia Puig, USA Today)
American Dreamz
Hugh Grant, Dennis Quaid and Mandy Moore star in this hilarious comedy about living the American Dream. The TV show "American Dreamz" is sweeping the ratings, and everyone wants to be a "Dreamer." But when two scheming, hopeful contestants face off in the final showdown, the audience gets an eyeful of on-air fireworks. The stage is set for the wickedly funny, no-holds-barred competition that is being called "a riot!" (US Weekly)
Bad Boys II
Hang on for maximum mayhem, full-on fun and the wildest chase scenes ever put on film! The action and comedy never stop when superstars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith reunite as out-of-control trash-talking buddy cops. Bullets fly, cars crash, and laughs explode as they pursue a whacked-out drug lord from the streets of Miami to the barrios of Cuba. But the real fireworks result when Lawrence discovers that playboy Smith is secretly romancing his sexy sister, Gabrielle Union (Bring it On).

Director Michael Bay (Pearl Harbor, Armageddon) and producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Carribean, Black Hawk Down) deliver a high-speed, high-octane blockbuster that will blow you away! "...Year's most action-packed and high-flying flick." (Shawn Edwards, FOX TV).
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

Led by a strange dream and  guided by her mentor Dr. Sid, scientist Aki Ross struggles to collect the eight spirits in the hope of creating a force powerful enough to destory the alien presence, and pure enough to protect the planet. With the aid of the Deep Eyes Squadron, Aki must save the Earth from the darkest hate and unleash the spirits within.

FINAL FANTASY: THE SPIRITS WITHIN is the groundbreaking new CGI film from the creators of the Final Fantasy video game franchise.
The Cable Guy
Jim Carrey is Chip Douglas, cable installer.  Raised on television sitcoms, he wants life to look just like My Three Sons.  And when he meets single guy Steve Kovacs (Matthew Broderick), he sees his chance for some serious male bonding.  But Chip's idea of friendship – which includes physical assault, a game of 'Porno Password' and a medieval joust – may be hazardous to Steven's health.  In Chip's own immortal words, "I can be your best friend...or your worst enemy."

Directed by Ben Stiller (Reality Bites), THE CABLE GUY is "the perfect comedy for the TV generation. Jim Carrey's comic genius is frightening." (George Pennacchio, CBS-TV San Diego.)
Flags of Our Fathers
On the frontline, there's no time for fear. For 70,000 marines who fought with bombs blasting and guns blazing, the bloody battle for Iwo Jima was more than the turning point of World War II; it was the defining moment in their lives.

In the epic that The New York Times calls "a sweeping spectacle," Academy Award®-winning director* Clint Eastwood taps into the single greatest emotional truth of warfare: soldiers may fight for their country, but they die for their friends. Hailed by critics as "a film of awesome power and blistering provocation, an amazing feat" (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone), Flags of Our Fathers is a powerful true story of heroism and bravery that should be shared and remembered.
