They are usually very conservative with those estimates though and it very often gets shipped earlier than that. Good luck.

I ordered my copy this morning... it should ship within the next couple days... but could be a little slow as I went with the free shipping since I thought there was plenty of time... now I see the above.  :slaphead: :P

Mine too shipped today, but it will take longer than for you, because it has to cross borders (I might get lucky though)

As I said in the other thread I got my set today. And well... I just couldn't help myself. I had to give the show a try. So I watched the pilot movie.

Due South: Pilot Movie
Robert Fraser is killed in a 'hunting accident' in the Northwest Territories, his son Benton investigates, which ends up leading him to Chicago, where he pairs up with a smart-aleck cop named Ray to find his father's killer.

My Thoughts:
OK... I must say... so far I like what I see. I really like the characters. This story did a really good job introducing everyone.... giving enough time to all the characters to give you a good feeling who they are. It did a good job showing someone that was truly out of place and the differences in the way he works compared to what they are used to. While watching this episode my mind kept flashing to the Dukes of Hazzard spin-off series called Enos... which was also about an out of place officer of the law (in that case a country cop) in the big city. I must say I am looking forward to watching more of this show. Though I must admit that I don't know how well the ghost of his father will fit into this series... such a supernatural twist to the show seems so out of place going by what I seen so far.

My Rating:
Pete

I am glad you enjoyed it :)
As for the ghost part: Especially in the beginning they make it unclear, if it is really a ghost or just a figment of Fraser's imagination. And the banter between those two were so much fun, that I was glad that they enlarged the role of Robert Fraser later on.

That is good to hear... sounds like they did it in a good way then. Now I will of course hold off with the rest of the set till our marathon.

And I agree with a slow paced marathon. Give us time to watch other stuff as well. :)

Status update:

Kathy (ordered it) - ?
Marie - received, pilot not watched
Pete - received and pilot watched
Rich ?
Rick - owned, pilot not watched
Sébastien - shipped
Tom - pilot watched

And I agree with a slow paced marathon. Give us time to watch other stuff as well. :)

What is the general preference for the pace?
I would suggest 3 or 4 episodes a week.
