Thanks everyone...
we talked to my brother again last night. They plan to have the chest tube out of him in  a couple days. But we aren't sure how long he will be in the hospital yet. But the doctors say he will be fine. :)

I still can't believe it was one of his own neighbors. I mean come on... this guy must not have any sense what so ever. I mean even if you were to do something so terrible... would you pick you're own back yard (basically) to do it in?  :slaphead:  ::)

Glad he is getting better Pete, I only wish you and your brothers were allowed to sort this out 'eye for an eye'.
That would be true justice in my opinion.

My brother (nephew's father) was stopped by here today. He couldn't stay there as he couldn't get off work. But According to him Eric (my nephew) is doing pretty good. They think they will be able to let him out of the Hospital by Thursday.

My brother said that Eric told him this guy originally jumped him from behind... but then Eric fought him off and turned around to face him. That is when  he came right out and told Eric that he saw who he was so he has to kill him. But he still managed to fight him off enough to survive.

Sure I would believe someone who attack me in my home that he will not hurt me if I do anything and let him do his things ::)

Too bad it didn't happen in the states of Texas, you can shoot anyone who invade your home there. At least your nephew is correct physically (mentally it's a different case) and the police will certainly catch this idiot soon enough to lock him up for a long time.

That must have been a terrible moment for your nephew, one that hopefully won't haunt him for too long... I am glad to see he will be fine soon.

Thanks for all the support through all of this. As of the last time I talked to my brother (yesterday afternoon) they still haven't caught the guy. He is obviously staying away from his home. Hopefully they will find him soon... as I am sure my nephew (or any of us) will be able to really relax on it as long as he is still out there.

There for a bit a couple of us wanted to go out there for our own sort of justice... but now that the initial furious anger and worry has subsided so has the urge of revenge. But damn it! they better find this guy soon!

I am please to make this update.

The police has caught the scumbag that attacked my nephew. He is now sitting in jail with the following charges...

- Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- Attempted Murder
- Robbery

From what I understand they have his bail up so high that he can not make bail before going to court.

And as for my nephew he is now out of the hospital... resting comfortably at home.  :)

LOL... not likely... I don't know the laws in Pennsylvania... but it was just "attempted" murder... so maybe we could get them to "attempt" it!  :devil:
