Here's a few of my guilty pleasures... couldn't get the list down. Actually, I could easily make it a lot longer!  :laugh:

And this little anime series which I like a lot more than I should...

I don't have any guilty pleasures! :shrug: Looking at your lists, I find I don't even understand... :headscratch:

Chucky? American Pie? Slap Shot? Spaceballs? Naked Gun? Mars Attacks?  :o No-one should ever feel in anyway embarrassed about owning these films. They aren't masterpieces, but they do their jobs well. Embrace your collection! :tease:

I once had a friend laugh at me for looking at the DVD of Spaceballs several years ago.  I didn't get the movie then, but I did pick it up several years ago.

Would you say the same thing about Howard the Duck? ;)

Oh, I personally embrace my collection fully. Every single title in there, I like one way or another. But those I listed above are the ones I really love and can watch over and over again, and yet I have gotten some "comments" about owning them.

Oh I get comments all the time about various titles! But then that makes The Seven Samurai a guilty pleasure, so what do they know? ;)

It may sound arrogant, but I value my opinion above anyone's who dares to pass judgement on what I own, no exceptions. I do understand why they may make them, but it doesn't make me feel guilty. Ever.

So moving on, and accepting that some titles are considered by the great unwashed to not be worthy of a place on the shelves of a film collector, I still don't understand half the entries! Naked Gun is considered a modern comedy classic and it's cool to like Bill and Ted... I could go on.

Same for me, I'm proud of every movie I own (ok certainly not Glitter) and I don't feel guilty to have fun watching them. But I need to use the remote fast to stop some sometimes, not that I feel ashame or whatever but I don't think that my mother or my sister had to see "Long Jeanne Silver" or some others insane movie like that.

I can still remember my mum and dad coming home from visiting relatives when I was watching Casino. They just had to walk in and sit down at the moment Pesci was going to get clobbered, didn't they? My mum has always loved OTT action films, but proper violence, no way. Oh dear... :whistle:

I don't care either what someone thinks about my collection. Quite the opposite: I stand proudly by them and declare that the other person simply didn't understand them.  :P

But while I enjoy all of the above movies very much I also can agree that they aren't masterpieces of movie history. Most of them contain bad acting and/or a ridiculous story.

If we were caring most of our collection will be just what Hollywood want us to believe are good movies :yucky:
I don't need to think of how my friends see my movies :
1. They don't know 80% of what I own;
2. most of them aren't good in english anyway;
3. I don't pass my dvd (except for my mother and my brother) one broken was enough for me.
