One store here already has signs up about the second season of True Blood coming soon, but they conveniently left off the release date.

Most likely won't be before May 2010; HBO is pretty predictable in that way.

True Blood!  That was another rubbish first episode. I assume from the comments above, it gets better? Not that I'm bothered, really.

Didn't find the pilot rubbish, but the exposition stuff seemed a bit clunky to me, at least on first viewing. I wrote a review for S1 here.

I'll give it another go one day when the price drops, but they started showing it a month or so back and it seemed like too much going on, without enough substance. Your review seems to bear that out a little, so I will endeavour to watch it properly.

I finally got through 2 more episodes (just finished the 4th).  It's starting to look much better.  I'm not sure it will ever be great, but it doesn't feel like a waste of time anymore.
