I read about it on BBC earlier about Norad now employing webcams! Didn't realise they've been doing this since the 50s, when a newspaper ad was misprinted and a kid rang them asking where Santa was. They answered him and have been doing it ever since! Cool.

Merry Christmas by the way (it's 00:15 here)...

In Germany not far from my hometown there is a town called "Himmelsthür" which, except for the h near the end means "Door to heaven" (actually rather "Heaven's Gate", but on a DVD movie related forum that would sound awkward). Each year around Christmas they receive loads of mail for the "Christkind", which basically means they want to send their wish list to Santa Claus. they also have the habit of responding to those letters. They continue this tradition despite the post office being closed.

Actually until 19somewhat "Tür" (door) had been written "Thür" but then the "h" was dropped from this and other words.

Thanks, Karsten. I didn't know that. Now it actually makes sense rather than appearing to be some freak spelling.
