On Pre-Order 2008-2013
« on: November 23, 2008, 03:53:37 AM »
I can't buy any DVD's before January... but that don't mean I can't place some preorders for after that!  :P Over the last few days I placed 4 new pre-orders...

JANUARY

Title: Reba: Season 5
Released: 1/13

Hilarious, under-rated sitcom. Only one more season to be released after this. Only ever seen this show on DVD... and would love to complete the series.

Title: Moonlight: Complete Series
Released: 1/20

A great series that should have lasted more then one season.

Title: M.A.N.T.I.S.: Complete Series
Released: 1/27

A superhero series that ran in syndication... I seen one or 2 episodes before... looked interesting enough to take a chance on.

February

Title: Friday the 13th: The Series: The 2nd Season
Released: 2/10

I am really enjoying the first season set. So there is no way I am missing out on Season 2!

Well... that is what I have on pre-order at the moment. Any thoughts on the above titles?... You have anything good on Pre-Order?

I don't post my pre-order usually because the order are sometimes canceled or delayed, but since you have made a post this is mine for january :

Already have the first season, so it's time to complete the serie  ;D

Add this one to reach the free delivery amount. But the films included look interesting to me :

Wild Riders (71)
They took a trip on an escape machine without brakes... and ended up on the road to hell!
The Van (77)
Bobby couldn't make it... till he went Fun-Truckin'!
Chain Gang Women (71)
Chained like animals - treated like trash - even the filth and sweat couldn't stop their primitive cravings!
Brain Twisters (74) aka Horror High
There is something evil out there... Possessed by a force that doesn't belong to this world - and it's going to kill me!
The Young Graduates (71)
The Hot Pants Generation is Loose!
Don't Answer the Phone! (80)
He'll Know You're Alone! (have it 2 times already, love it)
The Specialist (75)
Every BODY has its price!
Death Machines (76)
Three Different Killers...Three Different Ways To Die!

The lines under the title are the movie tagline.

By the way what do you wait for buying this serie Pete?

edit: Find what movie is Brain Twister

I didn't pre-order it... but it is on one of my Xmas wishlists. :)

I did place another pre-order today...

Dead Like Me: Life After Death
Released: 2/17

This is a direct to DVD reunion movie to the Showtime series. I really liked the series... so looking forward to the reunion movie.

Just placed my preorder for something I've been anxiously awaiting:

And because I couldn't get myself to order just that (shipping charges were going to cost more than the item itself!) I added these to the order:

I had no clue that was being released on DVD.  I have to get it.  Off to add to track it down on Amazon. :)

Good news today from the UK. A movie that I want to see since a long time will be release in march, evidently my pre-order is made.

        Captain America (1990)

Didn't order in a long time from Amazon UK since our money exchange rate is really weak against the English pound, but I can't pass this one

I have a few on Pre-order at this time. One a month for March, April and May. So as long as I don't change my mind on any between now and release date I will have...

March:

Runaway: The Complete Series
This is a very short lived series that I liked the episodes that aired. Unfortunately it was canceled after only 9 episodes.

April:

My Own Worst Enemy: The Complete Series
This is another short lived series that they are releasing. This one I never got the opportunity to watch... but my brother really liked the show... so giving it a chance.

May:

True Blood: Season 1
This one I am having a few doubts about keeping on pre-order. I liked the show well enough. But being a series that aired on a premium channel... the price is up there a bit for such a short season show. It retails for $59.99 for only 12 episodes (I believe?).

Yeah... I have it pre-ordered at $38.99... the price I quoted was the retail price... not that I would ever pay retail!  :o I would just like to see it drop down a bit more... then I would feel more comfortable about the pre-order.  :P

I usually don't pre-order unless I really, really want it on release day what rarely happens with DVD. The last 3 things I wanted on release day were Potter 5, 6 & 7 - the books.

I've only got one on pre-order at the moment:
Bad Biology

Been really looking forward to it since I heard Henelotter had made a new film, so as soon as I saw it I had to place an order.
Although I've also just remembered that Four Flies on Grey Velvet comes out next week - though I suppose you can't really call that a pre-order!  :P
