Title : ... Love You to Death (1971)

Overview
A grizzled San Francisco reporter recounts his epic manuscript: the tale of two crime families vying for control of the Bay Area. A peace accord is struck, but when Cozy, the out of control son of the boss, steps up to take control it threatens the whole operation with bloodshed. Enter Irma (Maria Aronoff); a slick hit woman who likes to fuck and suck her victims before finishing them off! But with Cozy in her sights (and between her legs), Irma may just have a change of heart. Will she finish her mission or fall for her target?

My Impression
I've put some adult movies in my marathon and this is one of them. This is one of the few xxx movies with Maria Arnold who is a well known icon of the seventies exploitation cinema. I know the east coast cinema production more than the west coast one, so I don't really know who are the actors behind the alias. In fact with miss Arnold there is only one actor that I recognize but I'm unable to remember his name. Since this is a movie made in the golden age the story is as important than the sex scene. This story is interesting, this is like an old 40's crime movie but the running time of 1h10 is a little bit too short. I like the concept of having a man telling the story to a journalist so we get the "gang war" part as flashback. For my pleasure Maria Arnold is in the majority of the sex scene and one unknown actress wears a pair of glasses in her scene (this is so sexy and unusual). The acting is not so bad. But the cinematography is really weak : image many time not in focus, weird angle and choice of point of view.

The print used is not the best but I've seen worst and to be honest : I don't really care about the image quality for those movies, I'm just happy to be able to watch them.

Title : 2LDK (2002)

Overview
A twisted, skillfully paced black comedy, '2LDK' (2-Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room & Kitchen) packs a startling amount of inventiveness, razor-sharp wit and filmmaking fervor to tell the story of two roommates at odds with the world and each other. Two struggling actresses share a Tokyo apartment. As they compete for the same film role and the same boyfriend, their petty squabbles soon turn into all-out war and when they break out the power tools and electrocution devices, you know these two ladies have forfeited more than their security deposit. Director Yukihiko Tsutsumi, one of the most promising young filmmakers in Japan, pushes his film's premise to the extreme, making for an unforgettable, non-stop barrage of laughs, fights and ultra-violence.

My Impression
I've got this one as a part of a 3 movies boxset and it was unknown to me the first time I've watched it (not this time). I really like this one, I'm familiar with the apartment sharing life with all the good and bad sides. Many little things usually get on our nerves and sometimes we want to react like the girls in this film

This is a 2 actresses show and they are quite good and attractive. The director make a good use of the short running time (1h10) and the movie didn't have any dead time. If you think that the Japanese cinema is just about the boring grey little girl ghost try this one, you'll pass a very good time in front of your tv or computer.

Title : Abigail Leslie is back in town (1975)

Overview
When seductress Abigail Leslie returns to her old fishing village hometown, it sends a sexual tidal wave through the small community. Abigail is known for her voracious appetite for all things carnal; her homecoming has resparked the passions and lust that smolder beneath the town's façade of propriety; and the men and women of Baypoint are thrilled at the nonstop adulterous fun that's in store. Abigail's longtime girlfriends regret the prodigal daughter's sudden return, especially Priscilla, whose husband Gordon (Jamie Gillis) has had a running affair with her. But quicker than you can say "catch of the day," everyone is knocking on Abigail's door for an unforgettable night, or day, of lesbian eroticism and swinging orgies. Whether it's handyman Chester (Eric Edwards), sexy Aunt Drucilla, tasty young Alice Anne, stud Bo, or lusty pals Tracy and Lila, or any combination thereof, you can bet Abigail will be ready, willing and able to throw in the line and get wet!

My Impression
Excellent movie, but it's not really a surprise since this is a movie directed by Joe Sarno. This one was considered lost for 30 years before it was found found in 2006. As usual with the Sarno's movies this is about the life in a small town and the hidden secret of its residents. A very good cast that proove one time again (not that I really need a proof of that) that the adult performer of the Golden Age were real talented actors. I'm familliar with most of them in there adult and non adult performances and it's always nice to see them. This is an erotic movie (not a xxx) and sadly those movies didn't really have an audience at that time anymore. But give it a chance and I'm sure that you will appreciate the performances of Rebecca Brooke, Sarah Nicholson, Jennifer Welles, Eric Edwards, Jamie Gillis and Sonny Landham. The only deception for me is the fact that Chris Jordan doesn't have a really big role.

Title : Confessions of a Young American Housewife (1974)

Overview
Carol (Rebecca Brooke), Anne (Chris Jordan), Eddie and Pete (Eric Edwards) are a swinging suburban quartet. Carol is married to Eddie and Anne to Pete, but that doesn't stop them from swapping partners or initiating hot foursome sex at the drop of their panties. Enter Jennifer Robinson (Jennifer Welles) - Carol's buttoned up mother, in town for a visit. Sporting a voluptuous body and dripping sensuous allure, Jennifer makes an immediate impression upon Pete, Anne and Eddie, who will stop at nothing to have their way with her - individually or in group session. Once Jennifer comes to terms with her daughter's highly sexual lifestyle and lets go of her own inhibitions - look out! - no one will be safe from her erotic charms. Soon it becomes clear that mother and daughter have long-standing issues and an unspoken attraction between one another, which manifest themselves in the most shocking and taboo way. Who will end up with who, and how far will each go to satisfy his or her deepest and wildest sexual urges?

My Impression
Another excellent Joe Sarno's movie that was for unknown reasons unwatched since I've bought it in may. My comments are the same than the one for Abigail Leslie, but for my great pleasure Chris Jordan had a real role in this. She is not the most gorgeous or glamorous looking girl of this period, but I really like the "girl next door" look. Since a picture is better this is a screen capture of her (she is in the middle between David Hausman and Jennifer Welles).

Like all the Joe Sarno's movies this one is highly recommanded. As a bonus you got a complete CD with the music of those three movies : Confessions of a Young American Housewife, Abigail Lesley Is Back in Town and Misty.

Title : Drop-Out Wife (1972)

Overview
Sexually stunted Peggy walks out on her abusive marriage and into a seedy swinger's life where anything goes! Her sexual appetite seems limitless, until she's asked to perform the unspeakable by a couple of rough club goers.

My Impression
The comment that I can make about this one is that for a R-rated movie there is a lot of thing that will not pass today. There are a lot of nudity (pretty usual in my movie), but you got a lot (and I really means a lot) of frontal nudity both woman and man (a big no no). So how is the movie? Not to bad... The acting is so-so with only Angela Carnon as an exception, but if you really want to see her in a better movie I really recommand Booby Trap. By the way miss Carnon is a Canadian actress. Another thing regarding the cast there are a lot of alias users and uncredited in the cast, knowing the uncredited girls (Rene Bond, Candy Samples) is normal but when you do the same for the guys (Ric Lutz, Johnny Yukon) maybe you've seen to many movies. The story is pretty standard for a sexploitation movie, but one weird thing and I don't really like that his a scene where Peggy lost her unborn child after she was beaten by her husband. Not the kind of depressing thing I want to see in this genre of film.

Title : Emanuelle in America (1976)

Overview
The stunning Laura Gemser stars as Emanuelle, the fearless fashion photographer and investigative photojournalist whose thirst for adventure is matched only by her insatiable erotic hunger. But when Emanuelle uncovers shocking evidence of an international snuff film conspiracy, she is plunged into an odyssey of forbidden passion, depraved desires and unspeakable human brutality. From the lust-filled streets of New York City to the corrupt corridors of Washington D.C. and beyond, one of the most controversial sex and gore epics in exploitation history has finally come home: This is Emanuelle in America!

My Impression
I've always prefered the Laura Gemser's Emanuelle films over the Sylvia Kristell's ones that I've seen over and over on tv (remember Bleu Nuit at TQS Sebastien). This one was made by Joe D'Amato (remember him from my review of Porno Holocaust) and this is a really good movie with an interesting story, a nice cinematography, a good mix of softcore and hardcore sex scenes and some unusual idea for a film like this. For the story you get a journalist investigation that will bring you from a rich man girls harem to Venice (one of the most beautifull city in the world) to the Caribbean to Washington. The sex is more erotic than graphic, except for 3 or 4 harcore scenes that are really fast. But, remember that I've said that this movie had some unusual thing, a particullar moment had a good chance to shock the majority here : I will just say that it involves a woman and a horse who looks really happy (personally that doesn't really disturb me, I've seen worst than that). In the movie you have the most realist fake snuff footages that I've seen in my life.

This is a great movie but because of the horse scene I'm not sure if I can recommand it or not.

Rating :

edit : In one of the scene Emanuelle is on an island that is a market where the rich women can buy some young men to please them. I find this degrading and not correct to show those men like they were just some sexual object :redcard:

Title : Fantasm (1976)

Overview
Group sex, religion, role reversal, lesbianism...FANTASM is a sexy, sin-sational comedy spoof of classroom sex education films. Join Professor Jurgen Notafreud as he takes you on an erotic visual tour of the top ten most erotic female fantasies.

My Impression
We start with a little trivia : The movie Phantasm is known with the title "The Never Dead" in Australia because of this movie. But the comparaison between those 2 movies stop there. This film is an Australian take at the movies made in the fifties and the sixties using a doctor to give them an educational value to pass the censorship board. The doctor who made the link between each short stories is a well known British actor : John Bluthal. His interventions present the case and give some psychiatric explications (don't take them seriously since it's as credible than the doctor intervention in Dammaged Goods). The cast is what make this movie great, this is a dream cast (at least for me) : Rene Bond, Uschi Digard, Mary Gavin, Serena, Maria Arnold (my love for her had started with this movie), Gretchen Rudolph and Roxanne Brewer. The only other movie that I own with an even better cast is A Touch Of Sweden that I've already reviewed here. Some segments are particullary good : Card Game, Wearing the Pants (that deal with my own fantasm) and Mother's Darling. In fact the only segment that I don't like is Black Velvet, because it's not original and the girl is really ugly (she looks like a transgender and not even a beautifull one like the Thai one).

Very good movie, not perfect but a nice way to pass 1h30.

Title : Gymkata (1985)

Overview
Race through swamps. Climb a burning rope. Dangle above raging rapids. Brave fierce hand-to-hand smackdowns. And always be wary of the hurled spears and plunging blades of attacking ninjas. Survive the unsurvivable: It's part of The Game.

My Impression
Remember 1985? It was the year when Women Against Pornography claimed that the Huggies Diapers publicity were pornographic ( ::)), it was the year of the first Wrestlemania, it was the year the Parents Music Resource Center was formed (you know the crazy group who think that Judas Priest, Twisted Sisters and AC/DC were Satan himself), it was the year of Live Aid, it was the year of the New Coke disaster, it was the year the first Blockbuster Video had opened and it was the year were the First Early Warning Earth Station was placed in Parmistan for the U.S. Star Wars Defense Program. I think that we can all agree that the eighties decade was a weird one. The music was bizarre, the clothes were ugly and the north american cinema was mostly a propaganda instrument. But it was the decade of Reagan so there are no surprise there.

The link is there : this film is a no brainer entertaintment like all the Chuck Norris or Sylvester Stallone ones made in those years. So don't expect a challenging script here

I like this one even if : the acting is bad (Kurt Thomas the hero isn't an actor but a gymnast), the story is really stupid, the game is really lame (really no one win it in 900 years  :hmmmm:), the fighting scenes aren't that great (even for an art martials movie) and you can hear the screams "USA, USA We are the best" in your head. But how you can not like the fact that some random gymnastic devices appear to help the fight (why do you think the title starts with the letters "gym"), the fact that Buck Kartalian is the Kan (even if he really overact), the karate fighting sound effect (close your eyes and you will think that you are watching a Bud Spencer's movie),...

I recommand it. Not because it's a masterpiece, but because it just make no sense to not laugh at it.

Title : Horrors of Spider Island (1960)

Overview
Eight sexy showgirls (including Euro bombshell Barbera Valentin) and their macho manager, Gary (Alex D'Arcy), survive a plane crash by taking refuge on a remote tropical island. As the gals adjust to the heat and humidity by removing most of their clothes, they also meet one of their new neigbours: a dead scientist found hanging in a giant web. Ignoring the obvious, testosterone-fueled Gary blithley takes a midnight stroll until he's bitten by an overgrown, crab-like spider and immediately transforms into a clawed, fanged, hairy-faced bogeyman who does exactly what monsters in horror films are supposed to do: chase women.

My Impression
This one is only good for its historical value as an early european sexploitation movie. It was made in 1960 so it is really low on the nudie content, in fact there is only one skinny diping scene and to be honest we don't really see anything. But there are a lot of beautifull German girls in short dress and bikini, Barbara Valentin is particullary beautifull and this is not really surprising that she had a 41 years career. The film itself is silly as an horror film (the monster is not there often and his not really important), but since the title of the print used for the DVD is It's Hot in Paradise I don't see it as an horror picture at all. Last thing, the english dubbing is really bad.

At least the german title "Ein Toter hing im Netz" make sense since they found a dead man (the professor) stuck in a spider web on the island when they arrive there.

Title : The Joys of Jezebel (1970)

Overview
Dead for a week, bad girl Jezebel can't enjoy the pleasures of Hell until she first gets revenge on the man who killed her. So she makes a deal with The Devil: he'll let her return topside providing she finds a soul to replace hers. In fact, Lucifer suggests the soul of Rachel (Dixie Donovan), a buxom airhead who happens to be a virgin. Presto-change-o, Jezebel and Rachel swap bodies resulting in Rachel acting like a slut above while Jezebel behaves bashfully below... Full of writhing bodies and sinning souls, THE JOYS OF JEZEBEL is a witty sex fantasy from the creative team of David F. Friedman (The Erotic Adventures of Zorro) and Peter Perry (The Notorious Daughter of Fanny Hill). And, hey, who knew Hell was so psychedelic?

My Impression
I was affraid that after two more "mainstream" movies everybody would think that my library of weird film was at an end. Don't worry I've many unknown movies never reviewed here in my collection that just wait to be  ;)

This one is a David Friedman production and a part of his costume sexploitation films. Many of them are really good like Trader Hornee, The Erotic Adventures of Zorro and The Notorious Daughter of Fanny Hill, but Jezabel is not one of those. Even if Christine Murray is the first bill actress in it  :yahoo: she doesn't have a lot of screen time :weep:. In fact the real star in this is Dixie Donovan since they swap their body and, even if miss Donovan is really beautifull and sexy as hell, she can't act (contrary to Christine Murray who is a really good actress). I like how the Hell is represented (if this isn't a false representation, I reserve my place right now ). Many characters from the bible are there and I understand why Eve and Goliath are there, but I have no idea why the King Solomon is there (maybe someone knowing is bible more than me could explain why to me). Another thing there is an error in IMDB the Christopher Stone playing Lucifer isn't the well known Christopher Stone.

Title : The Italian Stallion (1970)

Overview
Sly plays the part of "Stud" whose world revolves entirely around sex, sex and more sex, an interest he shares with his way - out friends and his girl Kitty who likes her men mean and muscular!!

My Impression
Sometimes you are "obsessed" by a movie with no logic reasons at all. I own 2 version of this movie (one on a dvd-r that I've bought many years ago for more than 30$ and this version released last year because it had the prologue by Gail Palmer), I've 3 different trailers for it and I have a German import of it on my wishlist at xploited cinema because it countains the hardcore insert add later (for this Hershell Savage plays the "part" of Stallone). But the version that I really dream to own is the original version name The Party at Kitty and Stud's, evidently this is an impossible dream since this movie is lost (the original print was destroyed by Bryanston to make the version that we have now).

First thing first : this is not a pornographic movie at all, this is just a softcore New York exploitation movie like many others in my library. What to say about the story? Not really much since the editing had removed everything that could be a plot. So we can say that Kitty and Stud are obsessed with each others and they have a party with four of their friends where the six of them have an orgy.

The acting is really poor (but Stallone act better in this than in most of his other movies) this is not for nothing if all the other credited member of the cast had made one movie. In fact the only experienced actress in the movie is Marie Brent (I have a lot of movie with her), she is not credited and she play a non important role (at least in this version). The cast is not really good looking too, only Henrietta Holm had a good body on the 4 actresses but she doesn't really have a beautifull face. The dialogue is funny (certainly not intentional) with some gem like "I'll be velvet-mouthed on your shank of love!". The theme song is good too.

Like I've said don't expect too much of this. There are a lot of nudity by not so great looking peoples but if you are a Stallone completist this is a movie that you'll need in your library and, to be honest, he act better in this than he does in Rambo 2 or 3.

I've almost attach some pictures of Stallone for Kathy and Laura, but I've seen the deluge of  :yellowcard: :redcard: :yucky: in my head and that made me change my idea

Title : Kim Comes Home (1972)

Overview
René Bond (billed as Annie Hall) stars as Kim, an art student who returns to her hometown. She crashes at her friend Barbara’s pad. During a heart-to-heart chat, Babs tells her that she is a hooker. ("I’ve studied just about every great whore in history!") Kim is shocked. We see Barbara in action servicing a geek named Charlie. Charlie’s wife doesn’t understand him. ("I’m a sensitive man. Plumbers have feelings too," he sobs.) Babs gobbles his choad, then gives him a nasty testicle hickey. Kim hears them ("Oh, mommy!") and peeks into a hole in the wall. She wants to look away but can’t. Soon her panties are swimming. Her fingers dip down into the wetness. She gives herself an intense orgasm, yelping like a stray dog.

Things heat up fast. Barbara and her boyfriend go to a "Freudian therapy lecture" (!) It makes them hot so they head for Bill’s dorm room. His roommate Gary (who looks 35) is studying. ("This fucking literature!") During their bumping and humping, Gary finds it hard to concentrate. So he jumps in and they show him a better way of "cramming". Back at the house, Kim is alone until Beth comes over with her husband (a long-haired galoot who I think I spotted on America’s Most Wanted). They offer her money for some naked acrobatics. ("Fifty bucks? Wow!") Kim sheds her inhibitions and slides her tongue up and down his whanger. (During the rod-riding, Bond is so turned on she looks like she’s having a heart attack).

Somewhere in this movie, there’s a plot. But I couldn’t find it. Doesn’t matter. Fans of Rene Bond will be groaning their approval.

My Impression
I will be less long than the synopsis with this part. I own this movie for one reason only : René Bond is in it and she's my favourite actress in the exploitation genre (she is the actress with the more film in my collection with a number of 18 movies). The story isn't even good for an adult movie made in the golden age and the acting isn't really good either (except for René Bond). The girl playing Barbara is good looking too, she wears a pair of glasses and this is sexy for me (too bad that she doesn't keep them for her sex scenes). If you are concentrate enough you will heard the director when he gives his direction during the sex scenes . Like every movie made at this time this one had a lot of known song that I've recognized : Sound of Silence and El Condor Pasa (If I Could)by Simon and Garfunkel, Hey Jude by everyone except Pete know that  :P and some other that I know the french traduction but not the original singer. Of course all those songs are use illegally

Not something that I recommand to everyone, but if you share my taste this is something that you could like.
