November Alphabet Marathon
« on: October 31, 2008, 05:24:25 PM »
About time I got my finger out and stopped working so hard  ;)

I'm going back over a year (how time flies) to the original Alphabet Marathon. Only difference this time will be reviews for each title watched, and new marking system.

As a reminder, the aim will be to watch a previously 'unviewed' title beginning with each letter of the alphabet. TV, movies, musicals, whatever!

No prizes for completion, if anyone wishes to join me on this marathon please feel free.

For X, since I have nothing that starts with X that I haven't watched yet, so I chose a movie that has an X in its title.

I might be able to find movies in my collection for this one, though I think I might have a problem with a few letters.  Like for X, all I have are the X-Men movies and I've watched all of those more than once..same for Young Frankenstein for Y.  I don't even have a movie that starts with Q, though I do plan to see the new Bond movie so I could use that one as long as movies in theaters count too.

The way we did it before if we didn't have a certain letter was to use a title that included the letter ie happY gilmore or siX days etc

The only rule is, there are no rules!  ;) These marathons are fun because they help you interpret your own collection and blow the dust of some titles you might have left for much longer. I've always included cinema and TV if they happen to fit the bill (like the last day of my Horror marathon was all on TV), so Q=Quantum is perfect.

Ok, I'll try this.  I'll figure the titles I'll use as I go along. I probably won't watch them in alphabetical order either.

Thank you to Jimmy for sending me a message with the coding for getting my table to line up. I really appreciate it.   ;D  Now hopefully I'll be able to get my next title added in right.  ;)

Glad to see most runners are on track, I've got 7 more titles with 6 days to go, but with a busy weekend I will probably fall short by a few.

Starting to think of December Xmas marathon now  :surrender:

I am doing terrible this month... but I think that may be because I am still pretty burnt out on movies after watching 100 movies in October alone.
