Okay, so I've been watching a lot of Miami Vice lately since I got the box set. I was looking for a particular scene on youtube to put on my blog, and came across another scene that I never bothered to look for because I figured nobody would have cared about it but me. (Ironically, it's probably my favorite scene from the series up through what I've watched -- season 2).

Anywho, it's not so much the scene, but the cameo in it. I love this guy's acting (although, admittedly, I've only ever seen him in one other thing -- but it was a doozy of a role).

Yep, that's Kane from Poltergeist 2. And just as creepy.

I just watched this music video and was amazed at how insane it was! It's one of my favourite video clips at the moment now. A lot of you here may not like the song but it's worth it for just how weird the clip is. The first 30-40 seconds may just seem like some everyday flashy boy band group thing, but if you watch through all that then you will see what I mean as it suddenly turns mental.

I was looking up some Aussie comedy, and came across this (again). Remembering that Kathy likes cats (and is a lovely person), I figured I'd share:

How the heck do you come up with that for a video clip? As you say, that was completely mental!

I must add that it's not my taste - at all - musically. And it also highlighted something I hate about modern music - Autotune! Ugh! If you can't sing, autotune will not make yoy sound better, just annoying! What happened to trying again? I hate the sound that autotune gives to songs..

I just couldn't help but post this when I saw it. The cute-factor here is almost overwhelming. As a fellow animal-lover Kathy might appreciate this one.

I loved it! The babies were so sweet and the Lady and the Tramp moment with the veggie was great.

Haha I told you it was mental! I actually quite like that band... and that song  :-[, but I suppose it's my generation. I knew a lot here wouldn't like the song but it's worth watching just to see how insane that clip is, it really gets you off gaurd. Also about the clip, all those flashy model type guys on stage aren't actually the band, the people who actually made the song are just a bunch of nerds and I noticed that they were in the crowd cheering on with all the girls. Interesting, I think there's supposd to be some sort of 'death to all boy bands' message there.

The Lady and the Tramp moment was adorable! My favourite part was when the baby one was hugging that toy and then just collapsed sideways haha.

You're right, Sophie. Hot Chip are a great band actually. This is very interesting! Hot Chip don't use auto-tune, because actually, they have a rather unique sound. They're obviously using auto-tune to make themselves sound like a manufactured boy band and the first part of the video fits in with that.

Basically this is them taking the piss out of what a band is perceived to be now. That video is their current single, but this is the classic one we all know in the UK:

Personally, I hated them. But it grew on me and there's something comforting about how successful they've become while being very different. The first half of this song sounds like shit, but each time I hear it, all sorts of hidden things come out.

Still prefer this, any day of the week though! :P

'Over and Over' was the first song to introduce me to Hot Chip as well and now I have every album.  I'm glad to hear you are a fan of their music Jon. I'm not sure what auto tone is but I will take all your words on it haha.

Auto-Tune is exactly what it says in the tin. Most amateur singers problems are with pitch and making sure they sing the right notes at the right time. If they go a little off-pitch, auto-tune can pull them back. Listen to the start of the Hot Chip video you posted first and I swear he's used it to get that 'tweaked' sound.

OMG! Just found this link about it. Look who makes it! He's got some explaining to do...  :redcard: :o :hysterical:

It was such a success for me, that I'm now working on a plug-in that works on fanboy reviewers around the world.  :tomato:  :tease: :hysterical:

Through the Invelos webiste I was pointed towards The Micallef Program, which I absolutely loved! This seems to be from a different, older show though.

Just found this on a gaming news site:
