Bringing this thread back from the dead. How is this show in later seasons? I've just watched the first two episodes of season 1 and quite impressed so far. Going to finish tonights viewing with another two episodes.

Finished Season 4 about a month ago.
It's still a great show and I find it hard having to wait for Season 5.

But as with many TV-Shows after 4 years the first signs of a decline show up.
I'm quite sure that this will be canceled after Season 6.

I really liked the first three seasons. It gets pretty awful afterwards, though.

I watched the first two seasons and then gave up after that.

I highly enjoyed the first two seasons. However, it moves rather slowly and Sookie relly started to grate on me. Given the size of my unmatched pile as it was I decided to give up on it too.

So from the sounds of things it is good for the first 2-3 seasons and then downhill. I watched episodes 3-4 last night and enjoyed them also but could see how it could become very teendrama but with vamps. After I've written a review for a movie I just watched I'm going to plow through some more and see how I get on.

I have watched the first two seasons. Got bored in the second season. I have got the third season in my unwatched pile.

I really liked the first season.  The second season was okay .. but the story arcs started to get really bizarre and it started to let me down.
Thank you

Now this would be "Vampire Diaries", which in fact is not much more than an extremely long version of the unmentionable vampire franchise.

Okay, here are my thoughts on the first season:

I want to get season 2, but not going to pay £15 for a 12 episode season. I've set a price watch and will grab it at a later date!

Bing from HBO, that price is pretty good already...? At time of release they are more than double, are they not...?

Try the German Release, it's about € 10,- ( ~ £ 8,-).
It contains the Original Audio Track, of course, but you'd have to live with the German Overview on the package though.

This thread has me a little disheartened... I watched and enjoyed the first 2 seasons as they aired. But I have (and on the way) the first 4 seasons in my collection. I hope it don't go downhill too much for my taste!

I don't think they went down hill but at times I did find the story arc's confusing.  I still really love the show and have all the seasons.  ah .. you will like them
Thank you
