I'm going to take a stab at... Mad Max... 2?  :hmmmm:

EDIT: I'm so very wrong.  :'( I've just found the answer, and I would never have got it, even though I did recognise it. It's one of those :slaphead: moments. Now I know why against all logic Dances With Wolves kept coming to mind! ;)
