Title: The Lost Boys
Movie Count: 12
TV Ep Count: 1
Time Started: 3pm
Plot:
Sam and his older brother Michael are all-American teens with all-American interests. But after they move with their mother to peaceful Santa Carla, California, things mysteriously begin to change. Michael's not himself lately. And Mom's not going to like what he's turning into.

My Thoughts:
This is one of my old favorite Vampire Movies. Vampires is my favorite type of horror movie. This is the movie that made me a fan of Keifer Sutherland. I thought he did an awesome job in it. I also liked Jason Patric as Michael. I have seen this movie countless times... and just recently upgraded the DVD to the 2-Disc Special Edition. Think this is only the second time I have watched it since upgrading though.

Title: Roseanne: Halloween Edition - Boo
Movie Count: 12
TV Ep Count: 2
Time Started: 5pm
Plot:
In this Emmy-nominated fan favorite, the Conners kick off a family tradition with a night of increasingly outrageous pranks.

My Thoughts:
This episode  is just plain hilarious! I love all the jokes they play on each other... They do Halloween episodes on Roseanne the way I always wanted to celebrate Halloween! I loved the joke Dan played on Roseanne and Jackie... with the fake blood on his hand... I think it was the best joke in the whole episode. This is the first Halloween episode the did on Roseanne... was done in the second season.

Title: Halloween
Movie Count: 13
TV Ep Count: 2
Time Started: 8:30am
Plot:
Fifteen years ago, Michael Myers brutally massacred his sister. Now, after escaping from a mental hospital, he's back to relive his grisly crime again, and again...and again..

My Thoughts:
This is of course a classic horror that I must watch every year around this time. I normally like to save the Halloween movies for Halloween day... but the urge hit me really early this month. I am planning on saving at least 1 (of the 4) that I have for Halloween day. This is of course the one that started it all... and finding out from one of the featurettes on the disc... a movie that was shot very quickly and cheaply. You would never know it watching the movie. I feel they all did an awesome job on this movie!/b]

Title: Cheerleader Camp
Movie Count: 14
TV Ep Count: 2
Time Started: 10:30am
Plot:
Welcome to Camp Hurrah, where a psycho killer is slaughtering high school cheerleaders on the eve of the all-state finals. Drive-in goddesses 'Betsy Russell' (PRIVATE SCHOOL, AVENGING ANGEL) and 'Lucinda Dickey' (BREAKIN' 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO) star with former teen idol 'Leif Garrett' in this bouncing, bleeding bonanza of B-movie goodness featuring graphic violence, gratuitous nudity, bad rapping and more from the glory days of late '80s splatter. This is CHEERLEADER CAMP!

Playboy centerfold 'Rebecca Ferratti', Penthouse Pet 'Krista Pflanza' and Playboy centerfold-turned-hardcore-porn queen 'Teri Weigel' co-star in this slasher fan favorite also known as BLOODY POM POMS. CHEERLEADER CAMP has been newly transferred from the original negative and is now presented completely uncut and uncensored!

My Thoughts:
I was definitely NOT impressed. This is pure low-budget cheese... which is ok sometimes... but with this one I found myself struggling to stay awake through the entire movie.  I really didn't feel like I cared for any of the characters. But I will say there was a decent kill or 2 in the movie... so it isn't like it was all bad... just mostly bad... yes I have seen worse... but not many! Oh well... can't win 'em all.

Title: Roseanne: Halloween Edition - Trick or Treat
Movie Count: 14
TV Ep Count: 3
Time Started: 6pm
Plot:
When Roseanne wears a lumberjack costume, she learns a few hilarious lessons about 'real' men.

My Thoughts:
Another fun Halloween Episode of Roseanne... Roseanne in the Lobo dressed as a man was just hilarious.

Title: Roseanne: Halloween Edition - Trick Me Up, Treat Me Down
Movie Count: 14
TV Ep Count: 4
Time Started: 6:30pm
Plot:
Jackie flirts with a moose, Roseanne pranks the new neighbors and George Clooney guest stars.

My Thoughts:
Another fun Halloween Episode of Roseanne... Among everything else... my favorite part of this episode had to be the act that Roseanne and Dan put together for the lodge party. It was a lot of fun... and got in some good jokes on their friends.

Title: Roseanne: Halloween Edition - Halloween IV
Movie Count: 14
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 7pm
Plot:
Having lost her holiday spirit, Roseanne is visited by the ghosts of Halloween past, present and future.

My Thoughts:
Another fun Halloween Episode of Roseanne... This is an episode that for some reason I seldomly saw before getting this DVD. For some reason I was never able to catch this episode much on the reruns. Which is a shame... since it is one of my favorite Halloween episodes of all the ones they done!

Title: A Nightmare on Elm Street
Movie Count: 15
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 10am
Plot:
From modern horror master Wes Craven ('Scream', 'Scream 2') comes a timeless shocker that remains the standard bearer for terror.

Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) is having grisly nightmares. Something monstrous wants to kill her. Meanwhile, her high-school friends, who are having the very same dream, are being slaughtered in their sleep by the hideous fiend of their shared nightmare. When the police ignore her explanation, she herself must confront the killer in his shadowy realm.

Featuring John Saxon ('Enter The Dragon') and Johnny Depp in his first starring role and mind-bending special effects, this horror classic gave birth to one of the most infamous undead villains in cinematic history. Reportedly naming Freddy Krueger after a kid who had bullied him in school, writer-director Craven hatches a shock-fest from hell that "goes straight to the heart of terror" ('Seattle Times').

My Thoughts:
This is of course the first... and in my opinion... the best of the "Nightmare" movies. I think this is the only one that truly tried to scare you. I feel starting with part 3 (I think) the series of movies went more to a dark comedy mixed in with the horror. This one of course has a very young Johnny Depp in an "Introducing" credit. I have watched this movie countless times... and I still haven't tired of it!

Title: A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
Movie Count: 16
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 12pm
Plot:
Five years have passed since Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) was sent howling back to hell. But now, a new kid on Elm Street is being haunted every night by gruesome visions of the deadly dream stalker. And if his twisted soul takes possession of the boy's body, Freddy will return from the dead to wreak bloody murder and mayhem upon the entire town.

When 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' made a killing, horror fans shrieked for more. Soon the diabolic Freddy was resurrected with a vengeance - along with some of the most terrifying special effects ever to splatter the screen. Look for Robert Englund minus his Freddy face in the opening sequence. He's a real scream!

My Thoughts:
OK... usually I still enjoy the second movie in a series almost as much as the first one. Even though I do still feel this is a decent movie... it is my least favorite of the Elm Street movies. I can't even place my finger on what it is that I don't care for... just something about this one that didn't sit well with me.

Title: A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
Movie Count: 17
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 3:30pm
Plot:
Born the bastard son of a hundred maniacs, demented killer Freddy Krueger is back for fresh victims in this hallucinatory shocker co-written by original creator Wes Craven ('Scream', 'Scream 2').

The last of the Elm Street kids are now at a psychiatric ward where Freddy haunts their dreams with unspeakable horrors. Their only hope is dream researcher and fellow survivor Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp of the original 'Nightmare'), who helps them battle the supernatural psycho on his own hellish turf.

Starring Patricia Arquette ('Ed Wood', 'True Romance') and Academy Award®-nominee Laurence Fishburne ('The Matrix', 'Hoodlum') and directed by Chuck Russell ('The Mask', 'Eraser'), "'Dream Warriors' is both a horrific and hysterical trip!" ('L.A. Herald-Examiner').

My Thoughts:
This is another of my favorite "Nightmare" movies. I love all the things the kids learned they could do in their dreams. Plus this one has one of my favorite actresses in it... Patricia Arquette. I have been a fan of hers since the first time I saw her TV Series "Medium".

Title: A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
Movie Count: 18
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 5:30pm
Plot:
Proving there's no rest for the wicked, the unspeakably evil Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) is again resurrected from the grave to wreak havoc upon those who dare to dream. But this time, he faces a powerful new adversary!

As her friends succumb one by one to Freddy's wrath, telepathically gifted Kristen embarks on a desparate mission to destroy the satanic dream stalker and release the tortured souls of his victims once and for all.

Directed by Renny Harlin ('The Long Kiss Goodnight', 'Cliffhanger') and loaded with killer effects and drop-dead humor, this is a "superior horror picture that balances wit and gore with imagination and intelligence" ('Los Angeles Times').

My Thoughts:
And one more "Nightmare" film for today. I will do my best to finish off the series tomorrow. At this point the series is still going strong for me. I am enjoying every minute of it as I type this. If you haven't seen this series of movies I highly recommend the entire series!

Title: A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child
Movie Count: 19
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 5:30am
Plot:
Freddy Krueger returns to deliver a whole new breed of terror in his most fiendishly perverse frightfest yet!

Unable to overpower the Dream Master who vanquished him in 'A Nightmare on Elm Street 4', Freddy (Robert Englund) haunts the innocent dreams of her unborn child and preys upon her friends with sheer horror. Will the child be saved from becoming Freddy's newest weapon or will the maniac again resurrect his legacy of evil?

For this eye-popping installment, director Stephen Hopkins ('Lost in Space', 'Predator 2') enlisted make-up wizard David Miller ('The Terminator'), original creator of Freddy's hideous visage. The result: a face not even a mother could love, and terror beyond your wildest nightmares!

My Thoughts:
This is another installment I really liked a lot... thought it was very smart how they made it so he was using an unborn baby's dreams to get at everyone. I must say though... other then part 2... this is the group of teens I cared about the least. I don't know... there just wasn't any kids in this one I could relate to... nothing like me... nothing like any of the kids I knew in school. but as I said... despite that... this is a very good installment... I enjoyed every minute of it.

Title: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Movie Count: 20
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 7am
Plot:
Just when you thought it was safe to go to sleep, Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) is back to haunt your dreams and freeze your blood!

Lisa Zane ('Bad Influence') is a child psychologist tormented by recurring nightmares. But not until she meets a new patient with the same horrific dreams does her quest for answers lead to a certain house on Elm Street---where an evil that defies the grave is about to be unleashed upon the world.

With Yaphet Kotto (TV's 'Homicide', 'Alien') and cameos by Rosanne, Tom Arnold, Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp, this chapter in the world's most terrifying dream saga is a fantastic voyage.

My Thoughts:
This one... while still a good one... probably has the most comedic elements of all the "Nightmare" movies. This is the only one that I saw at the theater... how could I not since it was in 3-D? The DVD has both a 3-D version as well as a 2-D version. Unfortunately since going blind in my left eye... I have to watch the 2-D version. This one tells the reason why Freddy first started going after the children... which I think they fit in rather well. How often can you say that you are up to part 6 of a movie series and still enjoying it?

Title: Wes Craven's New Nightmare
Movie Count: 21
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 8:30am
Plot:
Writer-director Wes Craven ('Scream', 'Scream 2') returns to the darkest shadows of Elm Street with "the cleverest, wittiest, most twisted scarefest in ages!" (Peter Travers, 'Rolling Stone').

Winner of a Golden Scroll of Outstanding Achievement from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror, this spinetingling tale reunites original Nightmare stars Robert Englund, Heather Lagenkamp and John Saxon as "reel" Freddy invades the real world with deadly results.

Life imitated art during filming. Soon after shooting an earthquake sequence, the "Northridge Quake" shook Los Angeles. Says Craven, "We were about to have rubble created for the movie, but instead, we were able to just go out and film from the streets." But don't worry, Freddy fans. It's only a movie...or is it?

My Thoughts:
Another really good installment to the "Nightmare" series. This time a very different installment... as it was able to reunite a lot of the original cast.  I thought it was a very interesting idea... and even though I enjoyed them...  I find that this one I really have to be in the mood for to watch. I guess what I mean is it is different in a good way... but I have to be in the mood for said different to watch it. Luckily I was in the mood this morning!

Title: High Tension
Movie Count: 22
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 12:30pm
Plot:
Marie and Alexia are classmates and best friends. Hoping to prepare for their college exams in peace and quiet, they decide to spend a weekend in the country at Alexia's parents' secluded farmhouse. But in the dead of night, a stranger knocks on the front door. And with the first swing of his knife, the girls' idyllic weekend turns into an endless night of horror...

My Thoughts:
This one is another Blind Buy for me... I never even seen the trailer for it. But I found the disc in the Wal-Mart Bargain Bin... and the back description sounds good... so figured for $5... why not? After watching it... I would be lying if I said I completely understood this one. I mean I got the main idea of it... but there is one or 2 things that didn't make 100% sense to me. I normally have a problem with subtitles (I am a very slow reader) so when I saw the subtitles start to come up my heart just dropped... I would say this film is half in French and half in English... which was strange enough to me. But luckily all the dialog when spoken was short and sweet so I was able to manage with little trouble.  Over all I really liked this movie. Warning for those that don't like it... this movie is fairly heavy on the gore. And without spoiling things... there is an ending to this one that I think could turn some people off and make them disappointed in it... but I rather liked it myself.

Title: The Legend of the Hell House
Movie Count: 23
TV Ep Count: 5
Time Started: 4pm
Plot:
It sits here, shrouded in mist and mystery, a nesting place for living evil and terror from the dead. It's Hell House. Roddy McDowall heads the cast of this exciting chiller about four psychic investigators and the dark, brooding mansion they themselves call "the Mt. Everest of haunted houses." It's already destroyed one team of researchers. Now this brave quartet ventures in for another try at unraveling its secret. But before they succeed, they must suffer through madness, murder and everything else the spirits that dwell here have in store for them. Yet learning the truth just might drive them all insane. An ingeniously-devised ghost story, THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE will thrill and delight veteran horror fans from the first creaking door to the very last slithering shadow.

My Thoughts:
This was another Blind Buy I got from Wal-Mart for $5 from their Halloween Display. I bought this one because a good friend of mine suggested it... and since she knows my tastes in movies I felt comfortable checking it out. And let me say... I am really glad I did! This movie had me glued to the TV from start to finish! At times there is nothing better then a good haunted house story... and when you are in that mood this movie is a perfect solution. I highly recommend it!
