Even though it is now possible to have a iPhone like navigation with the collection, it doesn't work yet, like I would like it. I have a rough idea how to change it, but I only have time to investigate/implement further next weekend at the earliest.

Best of luck with it Tom.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I got that Air Sharing app.  Looks great so far.  But my favorite is something call PicVault.  It looks like a calculator, but when the correct PIN is entered, it takes you to a secure photo storage area. ;)

I'm stuck in a boring meeting and thought I'd try posting from my phone. Slower than I expected. But I'm getting used to it.

On iTunes is it possible to add your own pictures to an album/cd that is in your library?

By this I mean, some of the AC/DC, Dixie Chicks, Toby Keith cd covers aren't showing or are unavailable.

***

How come compilation albums are seperated by the artist even when the "Albums" view is selected.

***

Is there anyway to amend album details?(I know who the artist for A Hot Piece of Grass is, and Honkytonk University is by Toby Keith, not various neither is One of the Boys)

Yes.  Right click on the album and pick Get Album Artwork.  If it can't find it, find the artwork somewhere (like Amazon or Wikipedia), copy it, click on the album so you can see the track listing, select all the songs, right click and choose Get Info, then paste the artwork in.

Don't know, but it's annoying.

Yes. Follow the directions above to edit information for track details. If you want to edit the album, right click on the album and do Get Info.

Right Click, see what your options are and experiment.  It's not too difficult to figure things out eventually.

I believe that is because it first goes by Artist and then groups by album afterwards...

I believe a remedy is:
For all the songs on the compilation keep the "Artist" field correct but change "Album Artist" to "Various" or similar. Then all compilations should be properly grouped in the "V area" of the Album view.

Thanks for the assist guys, worked a treat.

Just need them to add a preview option, when adding a cd and multiple options are available.

Well, count me in as a new iPod Touch owner! (I "bought" using my Air Miles when I heard Mass Effect is coming to the touch ;))

Any of you have "jailbroken" it?

Since this is now an old post.. Any recommendations?

You mean recommendations for games...? Or general Apps? I think most the stuff I'd recommend is basically already mentioned here.

Tower Defense: Fieldrunners
Color-matching: Bejewelled 2
Puzzle: Lumen

As you can see, I am more of a casual gamer on that platform (I don't feel large scale games should be squeezed onto that small screen). I believe there is/will be a version of Silent Hill.

If you care about game reviews, there is a free App from IGN.

Oh, yeah, and rumor has it DVD Profiler will be available for the iphone/iPod touch "soon"---ish.

I'll be more than casual with it. I'm actually still puzzled as to how I am going to actually use it! ;)

We all know what "soon" means over there, but I must admit it is also partly why I got a Touch.

I thought it fits here better than the PC Gaming thread, where Tales of Monkey Island is discussed...

I purchased The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (AppStore link)yesterday. Played with it a little so far (planning to keep it for my next travel) and it operates surprisingly well on the iPhone; well, it's point and click, so we point (tap) and click (tap or double-tap). Highly recommended for fans who want to revisit casually.

It's currently the #1 purchased App in the Germany AppStore. It's only #28 in the US.

In need of some help, please.

I've just bought myself a second hand 32GB iPod Touch, the trouble is that when I plug it in it tells me that it need's version 9.2 or later to work.
Thing is though my computer does not register that it's there in My Computer or iTunes.

Nay suggestions of how I can wipe off everyting that already on it and update it?

iPod don't necessarily show up in Windows (Explorer), so that part is o.k.

If it asks for iTunes 9.2 then I would guess it has been upgraded to iOS 4 by the previous owner. So, install iTunes 9.2 first, then it should show up in that. If you already upgraded, then I have no idea what could go wrong, at the moment.

Once it shows up in iTunes, then you select "Restore". This will usually give you the option to reset the software and restore to a previously made backup or you make it a "new" iPod associated with that iTunes. (I assume you are clear that you can always only sync the iPod to the same iTunes, not update it from various computers.)
