Exclusive to 360? What? How the f*** did that happen? :redcard:

Anyway, meanwhile, anyone seen this?

Actually, the mention "Exclusive to 360" usually means exclusive to consoles. It may be a timed exclusive to 360, but I'm sure it'll be released on Steam eventually, especially with the emphasis Microsoft is putting on uniting Xbox gamers with Games for Windows gamers.

I finally got around to finishing one of my many games yesterday: Blue Dragon.

I liked it a lot. The story is interesting, the graphic effects for magic are nice (especially towards the end, with the corporeal magic). All in all, I found it a solid entry in the RPG genre. I only think the story takes a bit long to develop and get really interesting. I also made a mistake: maxing out all characters as soon as I had the chance, which made the game way too easy to finish. How many games do you know where you can kill the final boss before it had the chance to unleash even a single attack? Yeah, that's what I thought. My characters were way too strong. But still, it was fun. Nothing stellar, but still an above average fare.

I must say, the music is great too. But what else can you expect with a game scored by Nobuo Uematsu?
Oh and, if you see a resemblance between the character design in this game and Dragonball, it's no coincidence: Akira Toriyama ;)
And the RPG being good. Well, that's not a coincidence either: Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Can you say all-star creation team?  ;D

=====================================================

Now, on to Lost Odyssey

I'm  not too far into, but I already like they way the story is told. I find I like comic-book style split editing in movies and cinematics. Also, the camera work in the cinematics is dynamic and really puts you into the story.

Oh boy... I never thought this would happen...

I wanted to try gaming on my new PC for , so I looked around to see what I had on hand to try it out. Of course, I redownloaded Portal (on Steam) and played a little, still good, but I didn't feel like it, especially since I had finished it recently.

I then tried Audiosurf (on Steam again), and with maxed out details, 8x anti-aliasing it ran smooth, smooth, smooth

And then it came... I stumbled on my The Sims 2 CD (no I didn't buy it myself)... And then I started playing... and playing... and playing... I'm completely caught up in it! I now have a wife, 3 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog.. I need to get a new house..

Can you say hooked??  :tv:

I don't know how what happened.. I never liked that game before. I would install it, play a few hours, and then get fed up with it. But this time, for some reason, I just keep playing!

I guess gaming tastes change with time.. Maybe I should try Bioshock and Half-Life again, I may like them this time around! (I doubt it though.. I have a problem with "scary" games..)

On a side note: The Sims 2 runs very smoothly too, again with all details maxed out.

Can't wait for Spore (in about 12 days)!

http://thesims3.ea.com ;)

Yeah, I know.. It may actually have something to do with my recent interest in The Sims 2... As if I need that. I'm already interested in Fable II, Tales of Vesperia, Infinite Undiscovery, NHL 09, Rock Band 2, Final Fantays XIII, Spore... and now The Sims 3??  :heat:

NHL 09

The last NHL that I have played was NHL 96
But NHL 94 was more fun though.

Yeah, my favorite was, and still is, 94. But I like the skill stick they introduced recently (in 08? maybe in 07? not sure). But I'm getting 09 because they created a special team for the 100th season of the Montreal Canadiens with many of the great past players on a single team!

That might be enough to get me into gaming!

You are not alone with that. A friend of mine kept asking me about what "killing games" I was planning to buy, as he would like to play those. Then I showed him the trailer for Resident Evil 5, as there is plenty of killining going on in that (and we like watching zombie movies too). Now he prefers playing "PxelJunk Monsters" (great game, by the way) as it involves killing too (;)) as playing Resident Evil "would freak him out"... :hysterical:

Hahaha! I know the feeling too well. I bought Silent Hill 2 for Xbox.. I had to kick myself to actually play it (I had spent money on it after all), and I kept all lights on and kept looking at the TV's frame, just to remember it's only a game!

Heck I even jump every time in Halo when The Flood appears!

I get so caught up in games, if there's ANYTHING set up to make me jump, I WILL jump.

(Couldn't even play the FEAR demo! And I was scared to open doors in Doom 3!!)

Gaming with you must be fun :hysterical:

Well, my friend has now settled for the cute stuff (like PixelJunk Monsters <- added a link this time). However, it is fun to play with him regardless, as he will jump from the sofa ín excitement and get close to the TV in order to see things better :hysterical:
