You can only play region 2 here if you have a multi-region player and they are very rare, I don't even know someone who has them. Basically I'm stuck with region 4. I think there are some cases where you can play other regions on certain computer DVD players but I'd prefer to have ones I can watch on my TV.

Obviously this can only be found out after purchasing the DVD. But when using the software you will benefit from others making this investigation "for you".I hope I could get this across somehow.
Hmm I've never heard of a DVD that is two different regions and can play here.
I have a Panasonic blu-ray player. Not sure which one but the one they recommend goes with the Vierra which is the tv I have. Do you think it would have something like that?
I checked and all of my DVD's are region 4 only.
