There's a question that's been bugging me for a while, and maybe someone can shed some light on it (or we can just launch ourselves deep in conspiracy theories, and the meaning of the number 7 in life
), but why are almost every anime series released in Region 1 always 7 volumes? Why not 6? or 8? or even 10?
I realise dubbing these series probably costs some, and you have a recoup it some way, so the 4 episodes per volumes 7 times bring in a lot of money (especially if you start counting cost per minute at 25$+ per volume), but still.
Is there some significance in Japan (or USA) for the number 7 that I'm not aware of? (Yes, I know, The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything is 42, not 7, but who knows, maybe in Japan! And then, 42 divided by 7 gives 6, and some series do have 6 episodes per volume
)
Anyway, if anybody has a possible answer, feel free.
