Well, after almost exactly 7 years (starting August 12, 2006), the final season of Perry Mason was finally released and now completes this series for me!

I've been alternating seasons of Perry Mason and Ironside (the latter bought from Australia where they seem more interested in releasing Ironside for some reason). I'm still at season 6 of Perry Mason, but I expect to get through the rest eventually.

I finally bought the 'Complete Friends set' on blu-ray a while back. Prolly my favorite tv-show ever made.
Well worth the upgrade  (so far) for 'Friends' fans out there.

But aren't the Blu-ray episodes all from the syndicated (i.e. cut) episodes while the DVDs had the uncut versions?

Well, i guess you are correct my friend. If you got the extended versions of the dvd's. And i guess the blu's should have that. But the HD quality and picture is just amazing IMHO. Compared to the dvd's and tv-versions. :) But if you got the extended dvdset. Check it out somewhere, before you decide to buy it or not. But for me personally, it was never a quastion really. But i guess i am pretty big fan of the show so.

Not the syndicated cut, but the original broadcast versions. The US DVD releases just had extended cuts which were not remastered on HD.

Back in 2002 I bought all 6 sets of Secret Agent (aka Danger Man) with Patrick McGoohan. For some reason I watched all except set 5. Didn't matter about the order, you can watch that show in whatever order you like. But set 5 got stuck in my unwatched pile - until this weekend. That's a long wait to finish a show.

I remember liking it a lot when I watched it on TV back in the sixties. It was called just "Paul Drake" here in Sweden, if my memory serves me right. And I liked it just as much seeing it on DVD.

This show is a bit like James Bond, only without the girls and the one-liners. And it's a lot more realistic. In fact, I would say that the writing is superb. And they used really good directors, too, like Don Chaffey and Peter Yates. The only complaint I have is that the episodes tended to end rather abruptly. But that's a very minor quibble.

Honey West

I have been watching this one on and off for quite some time. That actually happens to a lot of the TV series that I own. A few really special shows get watched almost immediately, like Castle and The Big Bang Theory. Honey West has been in my "partly watched pile" for almost exactly five years, so it was about time that I finished her off...  ;)

I liked the show, and I'm a little surprised it only ran for one season. Perhaps the viewers weren't ready to embrace a female private eye back in the mid sixties?
