I see you've got Spaced in your watched banner. Are you a fully signed up member to the Tim and Daisy fan club?  ;D

Spaced: The Complete Series

Here's a couple of suggestions you can blame me for that should build on what you liked about Spaced!

Gavin & Stacey: sitcom about a young couple. He's from England, she's from Wales. His best friend is Smithy, played by James Corden, while her best friend is a leather-clad biker who is hilariously laid back, played by Ruth Jones. Corden and Jones actually wrote it. Many of the episodes are based on their extended families meeting up as the relationship grows. It's very funny. Rather light, with elements of drama (no laugh track), but with a biting sense of humour. It doesn't have Spaced quirky bits, but concentrates on solid character interaction. This clip doesn't actually have the couple in, but it's Smithy at his best and shows the dialogue and patter off wonderfully.

Green Wing: This is nuts. Seriously off the wall. It ramps up the randomness and can be gut twistingly funny. Tim and Daisy's weird neighbour (Mark Heap) is brilliantly weird in it. Again, he's not in this clip, but it's still a good one...

Green Wing seems interesting. It has the guy from Episodes in it too, besides Mark Heap who was mentioned above. I like random; would that make it a sketch show, or is there still an ongoing thing throughout?

Just what I need..more shows..

I think I've seen Ruth Jones on Graham Norton a few times.  I did like her on that show..if it was her.

Well, there is a strong story running through, so definitely not a sketch show, but the randomness is there. It's the only way to explain the camel...  And yes, that's Stephen Mangan. It also has Tamsin Grieg from Episodes. And in the family tree of sitcoms, she is also in Black Books with Dylan Moran, another show I highly recommend. Can't find any damn clips that work.

Dylan Moran is David in Shaun of the Dead and Black Books would help you with a small scene in Shaun. Do remember where the gang are trying to sneak around the back of the zombies and bump into another group? Well the "others" are made up of contemporary sitcom stars that the main group may or may not have worked with. So Shaun at the lead meets Jessica Hynes (she got married, Marie, hence the name change), Lucy Davis meets Martin Freeman (co-stars from the original The Office), Dylan as David meets Tamsin and right at the back is Matt Lucas as the equivalent of Nick Frost.

Matt Lucas is most famous for the sketch show Little Britain. You guys should dive into that if you do like sketch shows, but it can be extreme! This is from the USA special:

My favourites are Lou and Andy. The regular joke is that Lou is Andy's carer, because belligerent Andy is disabled. Except he isn't:

Just what I need..more shows..

It will have been. She is a really nice person and it's hard to realise she is Nessa!

Jon, I actually own Black Books. Various people seemed to recommend it (you probably among them ), so I eventually gave in. Will have to watch some of that soon.

I might have to get me some Little Britain as well. Every time I watch a clip I think it's funny.

Jon, I figured she had gotten married.

I think I've seen some of Little Brittian on HBO.  I'm pretty sure I've seen the actors on different talk shows... Matt Lucas has been on Craig Ferguson several times...he's funny.  And I think I've seen him on Graham Norton too..I know I've seen the other guy on there.  Some of the clips and stuff I've seen are funny.

I think BBC America is going to start airing a new show with them - Lucas and the other Little Britian guy - in June.  I know I saw clips of that one that made me laugh.

I did like Ruth Jones when I saw her on Graham Norton..she was really funny.  More stuff to add to my ever growing list of stuff I want..lol
