I was just wondering, at the moment I only count myself as having a complete series if I have every DVD of that show, and that show has finished and is not making any more seasons. Do most people here wait until the show has completely finished before counting it as a 'completed series' or does it also count if you have every DVD that has so far been released of a show, even if they are still making it. For example I have every 30 Rock DVD that has been released so far, but I still don't think I would claim it to be a complete series as more is still being made.

I class myself as having every season of South Park because there are only 12 released Series in the UK (at the moment.)

I only count series which have been released completely and I have got all of the episodes of that series. So 30 Rock will only count for me, when it has finished its run.

Same as Tom... it has to not be airing any longer and all seasons available for sale. That is why I can't count Sliders as complete. I may have all 4 seasons that was released... but until the 5th (final) season is released on DVD there is just no way my collection can be completed.

I have 12 seasons of South Park myself but as season 13 is airing I think I'm with Tom and Pete here. I'm only going to count something as 'complete' when the actual show itself is complete and I have a full set.

The ones I consider complete are ones that I have all the seasons that were made..so basically shows that aren't airing anymore.  I have all the seasons that are out for some shows - Mork & Mindy, Facts of Life - but I don't consider those complete because there are still seasons of the show that I don't have.  Same with shows that are still airing that I have seasons for..like Big Bang Theory.  I have the two seasons that are currently available, but I don't consider that complete either since the show is still airing.

Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series - The Complete Series makes 26 total series.
I have also started to get the seasons of Reba.  I've gotten the first 3 for $12 each.
