I don't normally see shows too much from outside my own country... but for some reason that title looks familiar to me. :hmmmm:

Have you been watching any Doctor Who, Pete? Torchwood is a spin-off and they get mentioned frequently.

Maybe because of this: http://livefeed.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/01/fox-readying-us-version-of-torchwood-.html

I been wanting to check out the series... but to be honest... looking at the choices here in the US I am not sure what set to start with... plus for some reason the sets are pretty expensive (at least the last time I checked.

I'm always forgetting that most of you Americans are limited to NTSC R1 DVDs.

Doctor Who has been running for decades and has been released in various guises, but it was relaunched in 2005. To be honest, I never really liked it in the old days and the nature of the stories mean you can dive in any time, so the current numbering of 2005's "Series One" is an absolutely perfect place to start. That's the one Karsten posted the video for.

So that would be...

Or even, one and two together:

But you're right, those prices are shocking! Still, they're the ones to wish list and keep a look out for...
